The food was ok, for the price it was great. Service was great, and so was the look, smell, and feel of the place. It brought me back to 1976 eating breakfast with my father. I grew up going to a place just like it.
My wife and I stopped in for lunch while we were in Altavista. Our hamburgers were delicious, perfectly cooked, and quite eye appealing. Our waitress was on point. It has a real down home feeling. My onion rings were also very tasty. I would recommend stopping in to everyone who wants a fast bite to eat.
I’ve never dined in, I’ve always taken our order to go. With that being said, they do a great job taking phone orders and having it ready when you arrive. Their breakfast biscuits appear to be homemade and they are deliciously huge!! I would recommend the bacon or sausage, egg and cheese. It has limited indoor seating, a few tables and a bar counter. There are some outside patio tables as well.
