I have been going to the Tavern during my VIR visits at least a couple times each year since 2018. The experience that I get here is usually pretty inconsistent, sometimes the food is quite good, other times not so much. They do have a rotating menu which is constantly changed year to year, they used to have a garden salad that could have a blackened salmon with a special balsamic glaze added to it which was phenomenal, I wish they would keep that consistently on the menu. Amber and Sara have been LIFESAVING for the past 4 days while in town at VIR. Traveling from California, there’s not much here but this and this is the jackpot.
These 2 girls RUN THE SHOW. amazing characters, personalities, business women.
They took care of our party of 5 to 30 people.

This place is incredibly convenient if you are staying overnight at VIR. The food was really good and really expensive, around $15 for a burger. The staff was nice and went out of their way to do a great job.
