Balo Kitchen offers a diverse menu with both hits and misses. Their Banh mi lacks flavor, but the Hainanese chicken is moist and well-received. The Ramen, chicken lo mein, and crispy, flavorful pork belly rice are standout dishes. The bo kho/beef stew is also a hit, with a perfect balance of spices.
Customers highly recommend the Laksa Curry Soup, which can be ordered with chicken, shrimp, and tofu, and is great for take-out. The dan dan noodles and steak and rice bowl are also delicious, and the brussels sprouts and elote street corn make excellent sides.
The lemongrass chicken with fish sauce is a customer favorite, with tender chicken and tasty pickled veggies with scallion sauce. Service is quick, and the restaurant provides take-out containers for unfinished meals.
