Sigh. It's never a good sign when you pick it because it's the last place open. They gave us our soup dumplings eat in even though we said carry out. They were oversteamed or something...all of them had no soup in them. Then the soup was leaking out of the bottom of the bamboo steamer. We waited 30 minutes... they gave my partner the dumplings first. Then we waited longer... and instead of giving him the other part of his order (some steak bowl) they tried to give him dumplings again. Then the cashier was hesitant to give a refund when we didn't want to wait another however long for them to make the dish that they were supposed to have been making. Management trying to make more money by staying open late but not staffing appropriately. Two people to take orders from literally everyone walking in, and one person in the back making everything. It's not right.

I ordered dumplings here and a sandwich from the booth to the right. I couldn’t finish my food and ended up not eating the dumplings. I asked for a to-go box to pack my dumplings and the guy said it’ll cost extra. I left the food untouched right there in front of him. I paid for the dumplings with a tip and they couldn’t even spare me a box? Hope they enjoy my donation, I’m sure they’ll need it with the way they run their business. Never had a business charge me for a to-go box. Last time I ever buy a thing from them.

This review is for their DC location at Bryant St. Market in NE DC. The handheld buzzer is a good system for alerting you the order is ready. I ordered the hibachi steak entree. There was very little steak in the dish, and the dish was severely bland, as if it were prepared entirely without any spices. I simple order with 1 entree and 2 appetizers took over 30 minutes to prepare. Of course the price was as high as the other area vendors. Going elsewhere for better food and service in the future.

The handheld buzzer system provides a very organized way to wait for your meal so that you can pick your table at wait for it to be ready rather than hovering around the counter. The food is not pre-prepared so there is a little bit of a wait, but it comes out hot and super duper fresh which is worth it in my opinion.

The bold dumpling is inside the block of annandale. Love love their bao's! The pork is crispy and the sauce was perfect. The bao was soft and the meat fits perfectly. Great portion. Each portion comes with 3 baos and it works great as an apetizer! The service was quick! Not typically crowded until late night.

I really liked how clean and natural taste they have. The beef soup was hearty and tasty. The broth was obviously well prepared. Three dumplings had different tastes, which was ideal for having different flavors in just one meal. Again, I really liked that the seasoning was nice and balanced without overpowering the ingredient's natural taste. The guy at the register was polite, quick, and had great customer service. Planning to go back to try their hibachi.

Went to place an order and the woman was so unabashedly rude we left. -In a follow up to your response; the woman's not speaking English has 0 to do with her rudeness. Allow me to elaborate. We approached to place an order - she rolled her eyes. My husband was giving her the order - she repeatedly turned away and ignored us mid-sentence to stare at something else or say something to someone else. When she was actually paying attention, she had no difficulty taking our order. After a while, we walked away while she was distracted by something behind the counter. I'm not sure she even noticed.

Total scam!! I paid $80 for a big dinner for my family who was visiting and we all got steak hibachi dinners. The steak portion was extremely small and I was embarrassed. When I brought it up with management they told me that 4oz was a fair portion. NOT WORTH $15! Stay away!

My wife and I were not satisfied with the quality of the food here. The dumplings were soggy and did not hold their shape. The flavor of the food was sub-par. The $17 dumpling combo we ordered was WAY overpriced for 9 dumplings. Also we felt as though the menu was misleading, and could definitely use some pictures to reference. We didn't even make it halfway through the meal because the food was just not that good. Not worth the visit!
