We were a bit worried going in after seeing the reviews, but decided to give it a shot. Overall, we were satisfied with the service and food. We ordered the Gaboja special (L) for four of us and got plenty of food. Both the side dish and main dish were delicious. Would recommend it.

The sushi is FANTASTIC, fresh and wonderful. The atmosphere is wonderful and MOST of the people that work the floor are above and beyond. Just my waitress was more interested in her phone. Maybe she's got stuff going on, but she didn't even hear me come in the door, or pay attention to anything the entire time I was there. Everyone else had to do that for her.Everything else was really good. For that reason alone I'll try again. Cause the food is just that good.

Do not go there! Waste of money. When you feel like having Korean style sashimi, do not go there. There is none in Northern VA. You want to give away $200 for two, then go. I will rather go to H mart and buy frzen sashi and other stuffs. Highly not recommending this place.

This is a nice place to have all inclusive family Sashimi experience. It is bit pricey but well worth it. 5 of us had 4 person packages, which came about $220 then tips and drinks made it to $300. You have various seafood including live lobster, fluke sashimi, various sashimi and seafood, some rolls and various side items. Top off with the lobster seafood stew.

The staff are having their own party, screaming, shreiking and laughing loudly, even more loud than the group of men next to us. Can't eat dinner because of what sounds like a fight, but is instead a woman and a man who work here carrying on their normal conversation.While there was one waitress who understood, the other women and men sat at their table talking very loudly oblivious to the fact the they had customers looking at them with wonder who the owner is that they can do this.Food was barely acceptable.Will not come back. It seems like this restaurant is for the employees to have their own party every night.

The slow death of Gaboja. I remember a year or so ago, the restaurant was always packed, seafood was fresh. Fast forward today, during a Sunday dinner, 2 tables, the fish was inedible , tasted like ammonia from the dirty water tanks. I can’t imagine how long the fish have been sitting in there to get that taste, shows how little turnover there is at the restaurant now. Prices are still high, seafood taste and smells horrible.
Very rude and unfriendly staff. The sashimi is not fresh. I don't suggest this place. Also one of the waitress pushed us to order the most expensive items.

As soon as we walked in they gave us 1 hr to eat, point out the most expensive item on the menu, pushed the food through, dont explain much, most didn't speak much English. I read all the negative reviews and prepared for a very low expectations dining experience, we were not disappointed, the final bill was 325$ for 4 people, it is way over priced.
