Jang Won Restaurant is renowned for its generous portions of authentic Korean-Chinese dishes, including favorites such as Jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles), Jjampong (spicy seafood noodles soup), and Tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork). The steamed dumplings and Yangjangpi (seafood and vegetable dish with mustard sauce) are also highly enjoyable. The food consistently offers bold flavors and is well-sized for sharing. Although the restaurant’s decor may appear outdated, the quality of the food and service remains excellent. During our recent visit, we ordered Yusansul (a Korean-Chinese dish with thinly sliced meats, seafood such as sea cucumber, and vegetables stir-fried and coated in a thick, glossy starch sauce, with a savory yet slightly sweet flavor and a variety of textures), along with Jjajangmyeon and Tangsuyuk, and all dishes were excellent.
Tummy cells were satisfied!!! Family was happy! We will be back when we are in the area again! yummmmm
Great atmosphere. The servers were very attentive and friendly. Food was amazing!
Taste better than restaurants in South Korea!
Onion was dried out, meaning reused. Even kimchi was reused. Kimchi was sticky like jelly. Which means it is right before being rotten. Also meaning puting back the kimchi back in kimchi container.
Delicious meal. Friendly service. Unique mix of flavors, unique to the Chinese community in Korea. Excellent fried dumplings! Combo platters allow guests to taste more than one option.
Authentic and delicious with welcoming staff. Our family comes here several times a month.

This is the place to go if you want chinese style korean dishes. Tried almost every one of these in the area and this one is the best. Their fried dishes are very well cooked. Jjampong and jjajang dishes are all so well prepared and portions are great as well

Only restaurant I have gave less than 3 stars. In terms of quality and presentation, its not so bad but for the past three years, I only visited 3 times and its always same blandness. Spicy Jjampong is good, its hot but only temp drops you can taste that its bland and has no taste (lack of saltiness and flavour), for some reason this place is busy and lack of parking is another. Service is prompt but if you don't tip they will come after you.

Their food and service have degraded. Their fried food color is now yellow. Smaller portion. Bad service.

This is a wonderful authentic spot for Chinese Korean cuisine. It has the best Jajangmyeon I’ve had in the DMV by far. The Tang Suk Yuk was fantastic as well, fried perfectly. Decent prices, excellent selection of soju and beer, and great atmosphere. Will be back soon!
