Really comforting ambiance and beautiful decor. We came on a regular Tuesday night and there were only two other groups in the cafe. Bingsoo was about $26 before tax and we thought it was a little pricey until they brought it out. Easily double or almost triple the size of bingsoos at other places and we had a hard time finishing it between two people!Black sesame bingsoo was creamy and had just the right amount of black sesame nuttiness. I'm a big fan of sesame and places usually don't add this much to their desserts, so I was pretty pleasantly surprised by how much sesame was in the bingsoo. Could have used more cornflakes but I can't complain.

One of the best (and most unique) desserts I've had in the D.C. area is in Annandale, Virginia. After Korean BBQ at nearby Kogiya, my friends were craving bingsu (shaved ice dessert), bringing us to this Korean tea house. On a Saturday evening around 9 p.m., it was packed, but we somehow managed to snag a small table for the four of us. Ordering via QR code on the table, a giant bowl of bingsu came to our table.Splitting it between three, we devoured the black sesame bingsu. It was more than enough for four of us and came with sliced almonds, black sesame, vanilla powder, and corn flakes on top of shaved ice. Frozen cream is in the middle and you pour a small jug of milk over the top before digging in.Our fourth friend ordered one of the waffles with ice cream and absolutely loved it. Highly recommend this spot!They also have a large tea menu and a few coffee products like lattes.

A Korean tea house with a theater. The theater part is a project cartoon on the wall. There are western style tables and an area where you can sit at low tables on the floor after removing your shoes. Most of the limited menu is sweet with rice flour waffles with rice syrup with sesame seeds, toasted and ground up, or bingsoo which is a shaved ice dessert, with red beans and mochi. There are other toppings as well but mainly… this place is pricey. $24 for a bingsoo. It is meant for sharing but still… my mug of ice roasted dandelion tea was seven bucks. The small bowl of ice cream with red beans and cornflakes cost $12. At your table, there is a QR code so you can order and the order is delivered to your table. We had a waiter who came over and she also brought our stuff to us even though supposedly we had to go pick it up from the counter. This tea house is a good place for families and others who want a non alcoholic, non bar atmosphere — also at night. But the prices! #teahouse #koreanteahouse #annandaleva Also, this is more like modern day Korean cafes. Mostly Korean Americans as this place is hidden in a side mall in Annandale.

I’ve been in the customer service industry for 7 years and I’ve never encountered such poor judgement in customer service. My friends were visiting from out of town and I wanted to treat them to a nice experience at Soricha. We walked in at 9:02pm to get our online order that was ALREADY READY, and the room was full of people still waiting for their dessert with some tables still open, the barista refused to let us sit down and enjoy our bingsoo at one of the tables since it was 2 MINUTES past the cut-off time. We would have tipped, that is no issue…instead, we had to figure out how to eat our bingsoo when it was pouring rain outside and will little option other than eating it on our car.The cut-off time exists in the service industry to prevent people from ORDERING FOOD past a certain time. It would have taken us 5 minutes to eat the bingsoo and we would have left prior to the customers already sitting there. I used to come here a lot, but NEVER AGAIN! And will encourage my local friends in the area to do the same.

I came here with my family on a sunday and it was pretty packed. Luckily, there was a table available so we could order right away. The ordering is done on a qr mobile code and the desserts came out pretty fast. We got the injeolmi bingsoo which was $28 but it seemed enough for the six of us. The bingsoo was pretty good and the ambiance was very nice. I wish there was a smaller size available for the bingsoo as $28 seems a bit much if coming with just a friend.
