Alshami Restaurant

This place is fantastic. I’m Middle Eastern and the food here is legit. Tastes just like my mom’s cooking and you can tell it’s all made with authenticity and care in mind. The staff is very friendly and attentive. It was worth the 39 minute Uber ride from DC. I will definitely be back. If you’re looking for authentic Syrian food, this is your place. My family was in town, and I took them to Alshami for dinner. The food was very well made, the servers were attentive, and the atmosphere was welcoming. We greatly enjoyed our meal, and encourage others to try. You wouldn't want to miss it!

The food was very good. The hummus and pita was exceptional and fresh. The waiters were very friendly and provided excellent service. The interior was very thoughtfully designed with an interior that blended modern style with classic Arab elements. The mint smoothie was refreshing and I will be eating here again.

We got carryout from this new neighborhood restaurant so I can't comment on the atmosphere. Our order was ready in about 25 minutes so I gave a good rating for service. Wasn't expecting anything special but the food was absolutely delicious. The fetoosh salad was my favorite. It has a great dressing, pomegranate seeds, and these addictive fried strips of something crunchy on top (pita bread?). I did not want to share it with my family. We had flatbread with halloumi and honey. Also excellent! Lamb and chicken dishes were also great. So glad to have this new place in the neighborhood!

My family stopped at this place for dinner while visiting the area. It's a family owned restaurant business. The owner & her husband are a very welcoming people.
The food was excellent!! No mistake at all. It was fresh & tasty (just like home made) with perfect seasoning.
I highly recommend chicken shawarma sandwich or shawarma plate, kibbeh & lemon mint fresh drink. If you like arabic coffe, they have the best one with cordomom flavor.

Best baba ganoush in the area!! Best Lamb with okra I've ever had in my life! Best bavlava I've ever had in my life and I used to make it as a child (not too sweet, filo dough not drenched in sauce). Owner is very personable and knows her business well!
