Yummy food. Loved the decor on both floors, although the lower floor smelled a bit like a bathroom. Our server was very nice.
We had a long, leisurely, lunch and enjoyed the ambiance, delicious food, and excellent service! Thank you!
This is a wonderful restaurant with friendly, efficient service and wonderful food in a great variety.
Ambar used to be one of my favorite restaurants but the food quality just isnt as good as it used to be. The downstairs service is not good. We kept having to look for our server to flag her down and the food was just not arriving fast enough. We would eat one thing and then wait 5 mins for the next dish.
Our team lunch was amazing! The service was excellent! I love how they bring out the most popular options for the table. The food was delicious and they made sure to keep it flowing.
The menu offered a lot of variety in a cuisine you don't find very often. Enjoyed it thoroughly.
We ate lunch today at Ambar and enjoyed it immensely! I have a rare capsaicin allergy (to the compound in chili peppers), which includes paprika. The manager came over and explained what they could do for me and I was stuffed afterwards! I enjoyed beet tzatziki spread with homemade pita, lamb skewers, lamb medallions, fresh asparagus, and Brussels sprouts. The three other adults enjoyed everything else! My mango beverage was also delightful! I highly recommend this restaurant!!
This is our second time at Ambar and I remarked to my mom as we left that I think this is the best restaurant with the best value in Virginia. The food is outstanding, the all-you-can-eat style for $50pp is unbeatable, and the decoration and the vibes are really lovely. We love Ambar!
I wish they told you if you were sitting in the basement or upstairs when booking reservation. Food was a little cold and the unlimited price is a bit much.
I brung my family here for brunch for my mom's birthday celebration. Everything was AMAZING. All of my guest and I enjoyed the food and drinks. Customer service from the waiter, host, food runners and including management was 10/10. We will definitely be back to try dinner next time.

Ambar came recommended to me by a local. I was excited to try and kept my appetite all day for the unlimited tapas. We sat at a small 2 top and when I requested a booth the host let me know they would be completely full within a half hour. Which was true! As soon as it was 7:30pm every table on the main floor was filled. I ordered a margarita which is subpar. It was a house made mix but tasted like a poor gas station margarita. The tapas came out flying!!! Pretty small portions but it was perfect to maintain room to try as much as possible. We ordered House pickled veggies, Lamb Lasagna, Roasted Baby Carrots, Lamb Medallions, Beef Short Rib Goulash, Salmon, Grilled Shrimp, Pan-Seared Trout, Beet Salad and Vitamin Salad, Baklava and Chocolate Cake. The Stars of the show for us were the Lamb Lasagna, Beet Salad, Lamb Medallions, Salmon and Baklava. Some of the dishes hit and some miss. I was enjoying the variety but felt underwhelmed by the amount I consistently liked. They had a private room downstairs which would be great for hosting small events. Our server was tentative and made a decent number of check-backs though having a full section. The food runners definitely were holding down the fort. All in all, I'm glad I went and had a decent experience and would maybe return. But only to appease my sister.
This is my go-to spot to hang out in Arlington or to take my out-of-town visitors out for lunch or dinner. The interior/decor is nice and pretty. 90% of what we ordered is always good. Food and service are consistent. One of the main reasons we really like this place is the price. It's reasonable for the value. You get to try everything and the dishes are small so that you don't feel bad not finishing something you don't enjoy. It's a good place to try new things.
MAD that I did not grab some photos! The food was really good and the service was tremendous for a work party of about 15! Really loved the ambiance. I will say I have no idea what hit our table by name of the dish but I do know everything I tried was well prepared and had great flavor.

A fine selection of Mediterranean dishes, well prepared. Flexible menu allows sharing dishes with friends. Service was personable and attentive. Prices are very reasonable. This was our first visit ---- we will definitely be coming back!
