Everything was perfect, the ambience, food and service. Would highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion. Our waiter Mario and his colleague Valentin were professional and very helpful. Me and my family will come back for sure and make it a regular dining place.
We went around 4 PM for happy hour and sampled almost everything on the menu. Very tasty. The mussels were my favorite.
Our first time here was an unexpected pleasure. Loved the variety of small plates and unlimited portions. We tried almost everything on the menu and were happy with all of them. It was a fun birthday celebration and the even threw in a free desert for our birthday boy. We will return.
My guest and I were seated for about 15mins before anyone acknowledged us. We had to flag someone down. We came towards the end of brunch so that 15 mins was important. It felt rushed and I felt unseen and undervalued
Loved the all you can eat small plates for $50 per person! It was delicious and fun to share with others in our party of 3. I use a walker and the staff were very kind and helped me use the lift to get to the bathroom on the lower level and then return to the main level where my table was afterwards.
Great service! All staff were mindful about one of our group who has a food allergy, Ambar conveys trust and respect that can be hard to find. It was a busy crowd but all our food arrived fresh and the drinks were well crafted. There are plenty of tasty options for differing palates and this location is convenient, fun, lively. I especially recommend Ambar's brunch when looking for a crowd-pleasing, delicious option in Clarendon.
Excellent service, lots of interesting menu choices, very delicious and filling, was a wonderful way to celebrate our son's 35th birthday.
Angeles provided amazing service - definitely coming back again!

Wonderful as always! We consistently enjoy both the food and the atmosphere here. The new menu items were especially intriguing, particularly the waffle with apple, which was a delightful addition.

We finally found our food in Washington. Our waiter was very friendly and we had a great time. We recommend it to everyone who misses the Balkans.

The good: we ordered a few small plates that were tasty - meat pie, a red pepper spread, olives and moussaka.
The bad: When seated, we were given an all you can eat menu at $50/person. We had been to Ambar before so we knew to ask for an al a carte menu. Otherwise the server will not say anything. I think both menus should be given.
The ugly: when paying, the 22% tip button was lit up. No way to customize a tip. Other choices were 20% and 25%.
I don't like that you are led to believe there is only one menu - a pricy one at that. Also to assume your server should get 22% is a bit much. We are generous tippers when the service is good.

This was a real treat as we visited family in Arlington! Everything we ate was excellent, the drinks were too. Wait staff was on the ball. We really found this to be an innovative place! My only complaint and I mention it here in hopes management may see- when we were eating someone used spray cleaner to clean the booth right behind us- and yuck- that smell with the food?
So kudos for cleanliness, but is there an alternative to spray that is not contained at that table.

4th or 5th time I have visited. I think they have become victims to their own success. Super busy everytime, but this time around, food was coming to our table lukewarm at best. Out of all the dishes we tried the lamb was by far the best. Overall was a bit disappointing this time around, even though the service was excellent.

A friend organized a night out on Saturday evening. She made reservations. When folks got there they gave me flowers (so sweet) and the women behind the bar was kind enough to put them in vases with water for safe keeping while we dined. We were all shown to our table promptly, and I noticed it wasn’t as full as I’d seen it before, though there were many people dining outside.
While this wasn’t my first time here, it is always a bit overwhelming with the drinks and assorted menu selections - but we had water served quickly and our server helped us choose wine and a few small plates to start.
From start to finish, everything was delicious and so fresh. A few times we got an extra plate that maybe should have gone to another table. The server checked in, refilled our waters, and patiently waited for our next-round orders when we were close to finished with what was in the table.
The lamb, the spreads and breads, the beet salad, the meat pie, the tartar, and the cevapi were all stand out dishes for me, but everything we tasted was delicious.
Dietary restrictions: One person in our party was non-dairy. She was accommodated and others at the table enjoyed both dairy-free and dairy-full plates.
