Though I've been here many times, it was my family's first time experiencing Ambar. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and experience, and the ambience was wonderful. Our server was attentive and provided our drinks fairly quick! We tried many, many of their items and were thoroughly satisfied with each!
Nice concept. I'd rate this higher if their balkan salad bore any resemblance to the shopska salata that is ubiquitous from Bulgaria to Macedonia, Kosovo to Serbia. Ambar's was mostly chopped peppers and not many tomatoes + a little feta/sirene. The stuffed cabbage and kebapche were good as was the tarator and ajvar. Nice Balkan wines although they were out of Temanjikov, the one we really wanted.
Amazing food with allergens clearly labeled. Our server (Sean) made it extremely easy to navigate around gluten and provided great service even though they were very busy. The price for the unlimited menu is higher than a normal entree cost, but the food variety and quality was amazing and overall value was well, well worth it. Also, a crazy good selection of Bosnian and Serbian wines that would be difficult to find anywhere else. I'm going back as soon as I can.
