We had a lovely meal there tonight. We started with the squash veloute and onion soup. They were both excellent. I had the potato crusted salmon which was cooked a perfect medium and accompanied by delicious hen of the wood mushrooms and my partner had the loup de mer (sea bass) which was delightful with capers, almonds and lots of bright freshness.

Finished with crème brûlée (outstanding) and profiteroles (a miss—hard and flavorless). All in all good.

Service was reasonably attentive and matched the more casual vibe.

The place was packed when I arrived on a Tuesday night at 6:30 pm but I managed to get a seat at the bar. The Old Fashioned and Creme Brulee were both excellent, perhaps the best I've had and reasonably price too. Bar service was superlative and respectful. Stillvwater was excellent and free. The restaurant was well staffed. Five stars all around for quality, price, service and atmosphere. This is now my go-to place anytime I fly through DCA (Reagan International Airport). My M.O. is to stay in Crystal City the night before my morning flight. Great stop for dinner.

We visited twice and had two polar opposite experiences. The first time, on Oct 17, we had a fantastic happy hour experience with amazing food/drinks and great service. Then we went back on Oct. 31st and we had the worst service from the white male server in the cow costume and terrible drinks (we ordered the same drink as last time). We were shocked at how poor the service was like night and day. He was so unfriendly and inattentive.

An excellent addition to the neighborhood, with professional staff, a great bar, and happy hour!

Went here for a private event. The staff and service was perfect. Cute Lil French spot. I ordered the branzino. Absolutely divine. I tasted my friend dauphine potatoes 😋 I'd order those things time and time again.

Let’s start off with Patrick the bartender extraordinaire that was juggling the bar along with the high tops in bar area. He did this seamlessly and I was totally impressed.

Happy Hour here is TOP Notch ! Our table was enjoying the French 77, the old fashioned and the martinis .. WOW! All at a decent price. We loved our burgers and boy were they cooked to perfection. We had ours on lettuce which they happily accommodated. Last but certainly not least, the OLIVES- my goodness!!! ils sont délicieux !! They’re absolutely delicious. Our table devoured them. This place is too legit to QUIT!!! Great job

Service at the bar was terrible. The servers don't enter the order correctly. My food was under cooked (steak). You cannot switch between sides, so you have to like what comes with the entree or leave. I ordered a coffee - had to ask for sugar and the server got annoyed when I did (he rolled his eyes at me). I think his name was Tyler. Truly terrible experience and huge waste of money. Spend your money elsewhere.

Being able to live in walking distance to this place is amazing luxury to have, great service and amazing drinks. Food is worth it and looking forward to an expansion of the menu.

Beyond overpriced for what you get. I have been to many, many many French bistros, and when I order a tomato and ricotta salad, I expect there to be more than a small dusting of cheese.

Bar Colline is so cheap that's all you get - a dusting, and what is the equivalent of 4 cherry tomatoes — for $16.

The dressing had zero flavor and was so greasy, they definitely are not using olive oil; it had more of a canola oil feel. Really disgusting all the way around.

Service was terrible. Ordered a coffee - had to ask for sugar and server got annoyed when I did. Truly terrible experience and huge waste of money. Spend your money elsewhere.

Pretty damn solid for a
French bistro connoisseur like myself. Get the rice pudding. You're welcome!

Not at all on the same level as other French restaurants in the area like Pastis or Le Dip due to execution of some classic dishes. Really need to get some table bread and butter.

The puff pastry Escargot lacked flavor in all aspects and was a bizarre take on a traditional French dish. Tiny escargot. Mushrooms? No bread? Somehow parsley that lacked any flavor. 3/10.

Proteins were overcooked - both the chicken paillaird and steak frites. Runny mayo.

Chicken Paillard served — below — a mound of uncut Caesar salad… 6/10

Onion soup was good.

An odd menu for a French restaurant, not executed well. Hopefully just opening pains on a few of the dishes but the Escargot should be scratched. If that’s one of the dishes you’re looking for I would recommend another restaurant.

The ambience and service were both very good.

Overall 6/10

We sat at the bar before dinner. We asked the bartender if they could turn on the television, my friend wanted to watch a game. The bartender said the television does not work; it is only for looks. The service was terrible. The server asked me what the ingredients where to make a cocktail, because the bartender did not know. I had to return a glass of wine, there was lipstick on the glass, so gross. When we ordered dessert, the server cleared the table, and we had no silverware to eat our dessert. We had to ask for more silverware, and the server gave us side eye like how dare we ask for more silverware. I am not sure if this restaurant accepts cash, I would bring a credit card as a backup. For the price of their food, they need to train the servers better to do their job.

This place is so new so the best has yet to come, I’m sure. The menu is short and it’s going to require a unique palette to like the food that’s currently offered. It’s definitely French cuisine and you have to know what you’re selecting to eat. Not sure Crystal City is the place for this type of menu but it’s here. Please get rid of the goat cheese; there’s over 1,000 cheeses to choose from and goat cheese just isn’t the best item to offer. Add a charcuterie board that you can’t pass up! Was hoping this place, across from where I live was going to be more like Clyde’s because this area needs that type of vibe. Absolutely love the restaurant decor…it’s upscale yet comfortable to walk in at anytime. Staff is okay. Not super friendly and no one is smiling 🫤 Hospitality is lacking.
