We came to Cafe Colline for my husband's birthday. He loves the escargot appetizer. The fish special was exceptional - the cod was tender and the sauce flavorful without being heavy. Delicious desserts completed the meal - fresh mango sorbet and pot de creme. The service was wonderful - there when you needed him.
If I had only one word, I would struggle to choose between "Outstanding," "Excellent," and "Amazing !" My dinner date and I have tried several of the seafood offerings, and found all of them have been wonderful. Service is very attentive without being intrusive. I just get the feeling that this is a very, VERY well-managed restaurant !
This is my favorite restaurant in Northern VA. It is like a neighborhood bistro in many European cities, and it is delightful to be part of it. The menu is varied and surprising. The food is a little uneven, moving from unexpected and extraordinary to ordinary but pleasant. I take my favorite people to enjoy this very special ambience.
