Sandwich varieties are awesome. The Thanksgiving sandwich is the Best! This place rocks. Both the beef and turkey are cooked in the kitchen.

Last week, I ordered online. 10 to 15 mins later, I walk in to pick up my order. I go to the counter to tell them my name and order. They say they're working on it; understandable, it's lunch time. I patiently wait. A couple customers walk in and walk out with their orders. More customers walk in and walk out with their orders. 20 mins after my initial ask, one of the employees goes what order are you waiting for. I tell them. He says "here you go, it's been ready for 15 mins. You should have came up to ask." I said, "I did." Blatantly ignoring customers is not a good way to keep customers returning. Also, their sandwiches are overpriced for what you get.

Look at the picture included and you know everything you need to. That sandwich SLAPPED. I’ve eaten there and taken out by this point and I have the following thoughts.
This place is the best example of keeping it simple. They do not try to dress themselves up like the rest of these instagram cafes. They serve delicious sandwiches with quality ingredients at an affordable price. Pure comfort food that warms the soul. The atmosphere of the place is the same. Very unassuming but charming at the same time. Light seating outdoor and indoor for a quick bite during lunch or on your way home from work.
I love this place. I eat it when it when I just want to feel at home. Like those sandwiches your grandma makes that are just so slightly elevated that you know you couldn’t make something as good yourself.

This review is only for the turkey gumbo. By far the worse soup I ever purchased. For one, it had a dark color, bland, animal fat taste, no spices, just awful soup.

Earls is one of only a few restaurants who have survived the Clarendon/Courthouse churn of the last decade. Nearby, we've lost Whitlows, GOAT, you name the sports bar, that old bacon place, etc, etc.
Earls is your old school deli/sandwich shop and every sandwich has been designed with character. They all have the highest quality ingredients and - this is the best part - they have only raised prices by about 25% in the last 10 years since I moved here. You can go to Jersey Mikes and get a perpetually shrinkflating sandwich, or you can pay the same amount here for the highest quality sandwich you'll find outside of a NYC deli.
We love you Earls.

Yummy shrimp Po Boy sandwich, super generous potions and the hand cut fries are absolutely worth the extra cost for sure! My friend had the melted Brie on sourdough and said she’d get it again. Lucky we found this little place on our way to DC!
We did get our sandwiches to go, not much seating fyi…loved our sandwiches :-)

Really good neighborhood sandwich shop! Sandwiches are large, good ingredients, fair prices. Today I had the Fish and Chips whole sandwich with cheddar cheese added. It was really good, but could've used a few more pickle slices and firmer bread, as it was getting a bit soggy and falling apart as I ate it. I like my bread a little crispier/harder but I might be in the minority. The cod fillet used was big and tasty! Despite some minor quibbles, I will definitely be returning. Basic small seating area, more than half of their business is clearly carryout. Next time I will order ahead of time online.

Ngl the worst turkey sandwich I’ve ever had. $14 is a crime for that sandwich.

I am a stickler for food, fresh meat. Earl’s definitely went above and beyond with their sandwiches. I got the Earl’s Turkey Club and the sandwich was hot, filled with very fresh turkey meat. I would honestly have to say it was the best sandwich I have ever had. Definitely will have to come back often

Amazing Amazing quality meat with a lot of flavor and tastes. Service was really fast ordered and got my sandwich within 5 mins. Atmosphere is sooo cute and comforting. Pricing was really good for 2 cooked today quality sandwiches and 2 drinks. By far my new favorite restaurant will be coming back as much as I can!

This sandwich shop is cozy. There isn’t much in seating available in store. They make each sandwich to order, so there can be a wait if it’s busy. I would recommend ordering ahead during peak hours.
We ordered the Cuban Club and the Steak & Brie. The Cuban Club had the best flavor. The Steak & Brie was a cheesesteak with fancy cheese. The fries were okay.
They have a cane soda fountain machine.

I can only speak on the roast beef and barbecue sauce sandwich and the french fries. I made my first visit here when they opened and it’s my go to whatever I’m back in DC. The roast beef sandwich is amazing. The fries are always perfect.
We atmosphere is just very basic. Tables and chairs and background music. But you don’t come for that, you come for the sandwiches.
