I went into McAlester’s deli and I believe the cashier name was Iyana and she was so patient and welcoming! She was the best with assisting, helping and even suggesting things. She got me to buy a cookie and i didn’t even come there for a cookie lol. This is the type of service that makes you want to come back time after time. I want her to be my cashier every time!

The Queen

Disappointing experience. The sandwich had barely any meat, and they even forgot my pickle. For the price, it just wasn’t worth it. You’re better off going to Jersey Mike’s,at least you get what you pay for.

Iona (I hope that’s how you spell her name) was soooo incredibly sweet and approachable. I was really impressed by her ability to provide fast but accurate service, she was very thorough in taking our orders and repeating them back. She also had knowledge on every item on the menu and was able to answer all questions and gave a few suggestions too. As someone who’s managed FOH and BOH she’s exactly the kind of person I’d want in a customer facing position. Food was also very good, but Iona was my favorite part!

We visited McAlister’s Deli for the first time thanks to a T-Mobile Tuesday deal, and we’re so glad we did! We weren’t familiar with the restaurant, but since the offer was only valid that day, we decided to give it a try.

When we arrived, the parking lot was full — clearly, a lot of T-Mobile customers had the same idea! The restaurant was new, clean, and brightly lit, and even though the line was long due to the promotion, the staff handled the rush like pros.

Sam, the cashier, greeted us warmly with a smile and great energy. When I asked if it was always this busy, he laughed and said it’s been non-stop all day because of the T-Mobile crowd. I ordered my entrée and the Wicked Tea (highly recommend!), and we decided to dine in.

During our meal, Part stopped by to check on us and make sure everything was perfect. The entire team worked together seamlessly, keeping the atmosphere positive despite the crowd. We told them we’d definitely be back, and Part joked, “That’s great—but maybe not on a Tuesday!”

Overall, the customer service was outstanding, the food was fresh and delicious, and the team’s attitude under pressure was impressive. Big kudos to Sam, Part, and the entire McAlister’s crew for making our first visit such a great experience. We’ll definitely be back soon!

From the moment we walked in we could see this restaurant was going to be a great place to dine. Our orders were taken quickly, and we had 5 orders. Received our meals within 10 minutes. The food order was exactly what we ordered and everything was excellent! We even were asked if we needed additional service 1/2 way thru our lunch. Fair pricing, clean establishment and professional care. Thank-you for opening this new McAllister’s in Hanover, Md.

I did the pick two and ordered 1/2 Club and 1/2 of the Spicy Southwest sandwich. The southwest sandwich is supposed to have black beans, corn, a spicy sauce and chicken; Not quite sure which sandwich they gave me, but it wasn’t the Southwest. The sandwich wasn’t bad it just wasn’t what I ordered. Since this has recently opened, I’ll give them some grace. Service was a little slow, but that’s to be expected. Plus they were pretty busy. All of the staff we’re very friendly and helpful, which was a plus! I’ll definitely try it again, but not for another month or two let them get settled in.

This McAlister’s is still new and clearly working out the kinks on the operational side, it takes a little bit to get your food, but it’s because they are popular which is great!! With that being said the food is fantastic and somehow this location managed to find the NICEST employees. Everyone in the building is so attentive and kind. Special shout out to Jay who was awesome and I watched him help two older women with downloading the app on their phones to get their points!

I will never go back. Wanted a cuban sandwich and to have a different cheese (not add cheese, different cheese) there is a $1.99 uplift charge. Rediculous

I've been McAlister's-less for nearly a year (recently moved here from Georgia) so this was a welcome site. They are new so give them some grace while they figure things out but my experience was very good. Service was great as well as the food.
