I try to avoid this location whenever I can .. had to take my nephews here today and was met with attitude and random stares by all the female waitresses just standing around and giving stern looks. When I asked for a table, no smile, just a okay follow me lol. When we finally got our order, there was some miscommunication about the up charge for hash brown substitution and again no apology from the manager, just an overstatement of the overcharge. I don’t mind paying the extra fee but don’t appreciate the attitude and stern demeanor. The food is not worth it and the cook makes the worst scrambled eggs in the world… the manager Daniel wasn’t much pleasant to work with. I won’t be returning. The waiter was a young man who was kind and seemed a bit bullied by the rude older ladies that work with him.. hope management fixes that.. likely not since management seems to be the bully themselves. Only go if you are desperate for breakfast food lol

When pulling up in the lot in our parking spot we watched the “manager” pull up his shirt and rub/touch his belly. After being seated, no one even acknowledged us; there was only about two tables seated prior to us. The manager didn’t even notice us and proceeded to look at his phone. Very unprofessional and unsanitary to say the least; especially having worked 20 years in restaurants. When we left, the manager didn’t even say anything or look up from his phone. My mother said we are leaving and going elsewhere. Why would we give our money to an establishment that ignores its patrons? IHOP should seek new management.

We were tourists and didn't know where anything is in this town and my boyfriend needed a rest stop immediately! As soon as he opened the door to this IHOP he was greeted with attitude! She insisted that he couldn't use the restroom without being a paying customer so he asked for a drink and paid all the while her attitude only worsened. If not for this very incident we would have eaten at this very location the next day When deciding what we wanted to eat I expressed I wanted to eat at IHOP and my boyfriend refused to stop at this location.

I'm of two minds about the IHOP in Ballston. The service is typically stellar. Hannah and others do their best to make sure diners are well taken care of. At the same time, the last few times I've been at IHOP, the experience has been a bit underwhelming. I'm not expecting five-star dining, but there's been some moths/insects fluttering around the tables. Also, the booths/tables could stand a facelift as they are showing their age. I've enjoyed most of the breakfast dishes. The rest of the menu items that I've tried have ranged from average to below average. I'd say this is a legitimate 2.5-star restaurant but am rounding to 3 stars because the service is always first rate.
