horrible father day experience. took about 10 minutes to get sat, hostess seemed irritated just by our presence. i requested a booth or window seat, an attempt was made to sit us in the middle of the restaurant by a pillar before i declined and requested an available table by the window. waited about 10 minutes for water, another 20 to even place our order, 15 for 2 cocktails, 20 for3 side salad appetizers, and 30 to receive entreees. the entrees had visibly been sitting for a while, they were plain and colorless. food was tasteless and arrived to the table cold. no staff member even mentioned father's day, and the only time we saw our server was to drop food, and pick up his check/ tip. never introduced himself, no specials told...

It was Father's Day, so take that into account, but our experience was not great. First off, we had a 5:45 reservation but didn't get seated until after 6:25, so more than 40 minutes late. At least the staff checked in with us periodically to let us know they hadn't forgotten about us, were just waiting on 1 table to leave, etc. so at least we didn't feel completely ignored. No one ever really apologized though. The overall ambiance was crowded and loud, and the decor very dated - not that it was dirty or dingy just stylistically very dated. Once we got seated, our waiter was awesome - very friendly, knowledgeable & could tell he was hustling. Any delays experienced were not due to lack of hustle on wait staff's part - the others seemed similarly efficient. Wine/beer/cocktail menu was pretty decent & drinks I would not say came quickly, but within a reasonable amount of time given how busy they were & were tasty. Our waiter took our order soon after and the starters came quickly and were good (salads & clam chowder). Our mains took a bit longer to arrive & the food was super hit or miss. All of us who ordered seafood enjoyed our meals ok - seasoned well, cooked appropriately, good portion sizes, etc. Nothing to blow you away but all good other than some minor temperature issues with the sides and the broccolini was a bit tough. 2 of the steak people ordered medium rare & both got well done (again def NOT the waiter's fault - the little sticks said medium rare, they just were not cooked correctly). The other person ordered Pittsburgh Rare, meaning crunchy on the outside but rare in the center. They got the rare but not the crunch & his steak was cold even on the outside. He also complained of it being stringy but it may have just been the cut - it was their CAB Top Sirloin. Overall the ambiance was not great, the 40+ minute wait when we had a reservation was a bad way to start, & the food was hit or miss, but at least the waiter was friendly and the drinks good.

Salmon was overcooked. Very small portion. Not what I expected. I did enjoy the raw oysters. .

My food was undercooked and when brought to the managers attention, he was very rude and disrespectful and condescending to myself and friends not allowing me to finish my statement.

First time I've been to McCormick & Schmick's - Arlington (Crystal City) for happy hour, and I'm likely to become a regular now!

Perhaps, because it was Mother's Day that the service was quite poor. Our waitress was clearly overwhelmed with the multiple tables she was responsible for. Our drinks were served after the appetizer. The bread we ordered never came. The main course was lukewarm not hot. Overall the experience was awful. We will not be going back.

We had a great experience for such a busy day. Our table was ready when we got there and our server was great.

Went to Mc Cormick And Schmidt on Mother's Day. This was second year in a row attime at same Crystal City location. Our experience was outstanding from the moment we walked into the door. Food as excellent. Service was even better

This is a great experience for date night or for a great family dining experience The service and the food are both exceptional.

A few issues. 1- there was a dirty knife under the table. 2- I was told there was no croutons left (6:00 on a Saturday) 3-the food was subpar. It's been much better. Yesterday was 6/10

Server was great but charged my CC too much. It was fixed when I called the restaurant. I just wish she would have told be about the mistake and that it would fall off the card in a couple days.

Always dependable. Good food as always. Nice location, free parking, and atmosphere conducive to conversation.

Service was good but we did seem to wait a really long time between appetizer and entree. The food was just ok. Nothing really wrong but it didn't wow. I would probably go back for happy hour, but honestly dinner would be a no go for me.

Nice variety and selection from the menu. Great service. Quality, preparation and taste of the selections we tried were wonderful. We will definitely be back.

Food was served quickly I had crab cakes, a like small and slightly greasy. $63 My colleague had a steak, he gave it a 6/10
