My friend, her mother, and I ate at McNamara's on Wednesday afternoon. I ordered the NY Strip Steak, which came with mashed potatoes and brocoli, they had blackened chicken alfredo...food was very good and fresh. Prices were reasonable. Server we had was very professional and personable. The restaurant atmosphere was of course traditional Irish.
I am a sucker for Irish Pubs and McNamara's did not disappoint. Our server, Chandler, was inviting and courteous. Chandler checked in on us and appropriate amount of times and gave good feedback and suggestions for split decisions on the meals.
We got the fish and chips and the shepherd's pie. Both were good and filling. Guinness was an obvious choice. The brownie and ice cream was a good choice for dessert.
The atmosphere was relaxed and warm. Not...
The corned beef and cabbage is very bland, the cabbage is flavorless and undercooked. The corned beef was dry. 2/10 For a Irish restaurant this should be the signature dish. The fish and chips are average. 4/10 The stout burger was amazing and full of smokey sirloin flavor. 8/10 Blackened chicken Alfredo was 8/10 perfect flavor.
