We truly enjoyed our first visit. Friendly, welcoming staff, delicious food and the patio ambience was perfect for a summer evening. We'll definitely be back.
I had the Seabass with mashed potatoes and asparagus, my husband had veal, one friend had the scallops, and her husband had a pasta with sausage. EVERYTHING was delicious! We even splurged because it was our friend's birthday and they had the key lime cheesecake and we had the pistachio ricotta cake. Both beautifully!!!presented and both delicious. Our service was great and the wine recommendation was wonderful. We would highly recommend Mele Bistro for a night out. We will definitely be back and it wasn't our first time there either. Wonderful gem in Arlington!
Id give this 10 stars if i could. Risotto was the best ive ever had, better than mine!Husbands rock fish was also best ever. Giovanni is a rock star! Pistachio cake to die for! We will be back!

Mele is our go to every time we have an out of town guest. The menu satisfies a wide choice of fish, meat, and vegetables and the portions are generous and preparation are consistently delightful. This time was yet another example as our pescatarian from Russia and her carnivore Hungarian husband were both very happy.
We were celebrating a real estate transaction and two birthdays in our party. It was our first time there. From the delicious and unique drinks and extensive wine list, to the calamari appetizer to our entrees of seafood fettuccine, salmon, halibut, and desserts of key lime cheesecake, our meal was delicious and savory. Every staff member serving us was very welcoming, friendly and courteous. Every single single one of us commented after our delicious meal thet Mele is definitely a "come back to" place!
This is the first time I have ever left a review. Frank and his team put together the most amazing dining experience for my wife and I, that I just had to leave a review. He takes pride in his food and experience and cares about every little detail. Incredibly healthy food, sourced from great places that make me feel good about what I’m eating, not just how amazing it tastes.

Overall, an amazing little place. Friendly staff, good outdoor seating with lights and shade. Food was phenomenal. Nothing more needs to be said. Will dine again.
The appetizers were great. My Fusilli seafood Fra Diavolo was a total disappointment. There was virtually no pasta, and what there was was soft and mushy. The sauce was more a pink sauce than a red sauce, and the dish was more a soup than a pasta with sauce. Pure disappointment.
The menu focuses on fresh fish and quality meat options, all well prepared. Our group ordered the veal, swordfish and beef entrees and all were delicious. Nice selections of wine by the glass. Good dessert options, too. The room has a great decor, with unique art. Even the tables are pieces of art! The staff was attentive and we never felt neglected in the busy dinning room. Our meal was not inexpensive, but we felt the quality was worth the price
I had a great experience at Mele. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was made from scratch and felt pretty authentic—full of flavor and clearly made with care. The wine list is solid, with a well-curated selection, though I wish there were more options available by the glass. The atmosphere is cozy and pleasant, making it a great spot for a relaxed meal. I’d definitely come back!

The pictures of the place are deceiving. I thought it was going to be a nice place, more like fine dining, but it was a very informal and noisy place. The food is as expensive as a places like Chez Francois, Trio or 2941; but the place doesn't compare at all. Disappointed with everything.
We had an amazing experience at Mele, from the moment we were greeted at the door to the time we left.
The atmosphere was so charming and you could tell how invested each individual was in the restaurant and your experience.
We were made to feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant and treated like family.
The food was amazing, from the bread and oils to the fresh catch and steaks.
Thank you for making our last night in D.C. a memorable one. Your restaurant will remain in our favorites list :)

Perfect dining experience. We were warmly greeted. Since it was our first time dining there our server thoroughly explained the menu, the specials and knew the ingredients in relation to possible food allergens. The fish was fresh and cooked to perfection.
I visited the restaurant every memorial day weekend. enjoys dinner.
Very family irritated. Good steak, good seafood,

We celebrated my wife’s 30th birthday at Mele Bistro and had an incredible experience. I called ahead during the heat wave to check if the AC was working — didn’t get through, but the owner actually called me back shortly after, which was a great sign of their care. Service was friendly and attentive, the food was amazing, and they even surprised us with a birthday tiramisu and a live acoustic serenade. A perfect spot for a special occasion — highly recommend!
