I've been coming to Nam-Viet for well over 10 years. I would go to the spot on Connecticut Avenue during lunch until it closed. Now I drive to Claremdon because the food and service is amazing. I get the Eye Round Pho and the Shrimp toast. I love this place.
Came in to try the Vietnamese coffee with a Pokemon ice mold on it but we came too late. The person I spoke to said they sold out with in 15 mins of opening. Wish I knew that because this is the first time trying this establishment. The ice coffee was a nice strong Vietnamese coffee. Wasn’t hungry so we ordered the crab fried rice to go. I liked the flavor profile of the fried rice but it would be better with a little more crab in it. Everyone was very nice and the restaurant...
This is the kind of place you want spend your money in. small family run, soft shell crab is heavenly and really never had a less than fantastic meal there. For us no better Vietnamese food than Nam Viet. great service too.
