They were SO busy, and everyone was busting their butts, while the manager was standing around doing absolutely nothing but playing on his phone.

The smell of the drip coffee was enough to make me ill . I've smelled barnyard that smelled better. And the taste was as if it had cleaner in it.
Also the service and cost was terrible. I didn't tip because the staff was slow and to busy chatting with a customer. And to pay a ridiculous price for oily and small apple fritter was just a waste of money.

Poor service! The barista told me the drip coffee was cold and asked if I wanted it heated up, I told them no and that I didn't want old coffee.I asked if they could make fresh decaf drip and they told me no. They said that they don't sell enough of it to make it, which didn't make sense since $7 would technically pay for a pot of coffee which is what I was charged for two coffees. An excellent example of laziness and not willing to go the extra mile for a customer.

The barista literally took their finger out of their mouth where they were picking their teeth and turned around to serve me a cup of coffee without washing their hand, totally obvious. They need better training. Heading to a competitor coffee shop

Peet’s is the best. It’s not acidic like Starbucks. Their specialty drinks have a great combination of flavor without being too sweet. Honestly not sure why there are not more Peets coffees around in every state.

Slow service and crafted coffees don't taste like a regular standalone Peet's, and they overcharge you. The price on the receipt is different from the menu display price. Tried to tell the cashier and she wouldn't change anything. Said that's the price. I advised her, they needed to change the displays then. To which she responded nothing can change. Ridiculous encounter.

Had a quick snack here during layover at DCA. Code was good but danish was terrible. Old and dry. Should not be selling old pastries. I also question this trend now of asking for tips for selling food at the counter. Isn’t that supposed to be your job?

Coffee was terrible for a $10 latte. Plus when paying for takeout they ask for tip. A tip for what? Using the store? Waiters get tipped after they provide sit down service and after your food has been served and eaten. I really dislike this practice of asking for a tip just for buying food for takeout, before you even get to try your food. but I tipped anyways. No thank you or anything either. Disgruntled workers here.
