Surprisingly nice. But why "surprising"? I can't say I expected much, but my mother and I were very pleased with our choices. The eggplant (small plate) was a good starter. It was a lot like an Asian version of fries. I personally found it a bit salty, but good flavor and texture. The ghost chicken (small plate) was cooked to perfection! I will say without proof that I doubt it was made with real ghost pepper, unless it was in the spice mix. There appear to be red chilis and habanero. Spicy, but actually not as much as I expected. The Mongolian beef was excellent. Tender pieces of beef and a rich sauce. It's sort of a secret menu item, but you can request a spicy version. Our server kind of just knew, and proposed it as the order. Asian chefs in the kitchen, so you know they know what's up. Nice interior. Quiet and unassuming.

I've always had good food here, but beware of the shrip and scallops dinner. I got food poisoning big time! It tasted fine but the next day I was so sick for 24 hrs.

We visited this restaurant for our Lunar New Year family celebration in the last weekend. The food was decent and the service was fine; however, we were shocked that none of dishes (we ordered 5 main dishes besides the fried rice and three appetizers) came with white rice! If we wanted rice, we needed to pay $1.50 for one bowl. Rice is the main staple in Chinese cuisine and for all the Chinese restaurants we visited throughout the years, all main dishes came with rice. I get it that with the high inflation rate and the post pandemic, all restaurants raised the food prices. That is understandable. But to charge customers rice with main dishes that most likely need rice to go with seems pretty low. Can one imagine ordering burritos that don’t come with tortillas unless one pays? Why not adding rice charges with the dishes themselves? And by the way, the meal was not inexpensive. We averaged $31 per person including tips. So go figure!

We ordered take-out. $53 total for General Tsao, bang-bang shrimp and spring rolls. It looked like about $20 value. It did not come with white rice, we had to make our own. Spring Rolls were horrible. Thick walled, oily, and filled with a paltry amount of mushy vegetables. No dipping sauce. How can you miss that badly on spring rolls? Spring rolls, like a man’s shoes, reveals a lot...

Fast and friendly! Food was hot and fresh! It’s a budget friendly place, don’t expect plush tables and chairs and you’ll be fine.

21, can you do something for me? CAN YOU GET SOME RICE GOING FOR ME?21 is how much I spent on General Toe’s (Tso’s) that came with no rice and no indication on Uber eats that it wouldn’t. Why would I spent that much on an entree and not receive rice with it? At least I had rice at home but that was to go with my lunch tomorrow. The meat was dry and there wasn’t enough sauce as is what’s really enjoyable about General Tso’s. I don’t get the other reviews and the 4 star rating, but if you actually season your food at home well you wouldn’t be impressed with this in my opinion. Then to top it off I had to call another location to voice a complaint because it seems like although they close at 9:30 they decided to dip out before then or not answer the phone. I have yet to find quality Chinese food in this area and it seems another one bites the dust. Sad.

Food was pretty good. Liked my Mongolian beef. Shrimp and pork wontons were good too. A bit on the expensive side and service was a bit slow.

Lots of really good Chinese food options in N. VA., but this is in my top 3. Former Chinese embassy chef has taken Chinese food to another level.
