Ok this place has amazing chicken sandwiches. In DC it’s this place and Roaming Rooster as my go to spots for chicken sandwiches. Every place else just doesn’t matter. I’ve been eating their sandwiches since their inception from the chef school kitchen on Columbia Pike. You can taste the love in their food.

Never had Duck fat thing, but I love it!!! We could grab a table with no problem, but might be hard when it’s crowded.

Was in the area and wanted to try more of the food spots in the area. Unfortunately, not a lot of places were open, so I went with this spot. I wasn't as hungry, so I just got the duck nuggs and fries. No complaints! but nothing our of the ordinary! Pretty pricey! and wait is somewhat long, so keep in mind to make sure you're not in a rush when you order here.

The chicken was very juicy and crispy but the slaw on the buffalo chicken wasn't good to me. I thought it would be made with mayo but it was just pickled.

The hard part is parking but there is a parking garage across the street. This is for eating outside so if the weather is good then it’s great to catch a quick bite. Service is a cashier or kiosk, but remember, it’s a quick bite with friends. The food is good but can get a little messy ( mostly sandwiches), but there’s a public restroom nearby to wash your hands. Both the Virginia honey butter chicken sandwich and duck fat fries are flavorful.

1st thing this is not a sit-in restaurant . You can get your food to-go or eat outside at tables so make sure it’s a nice warm day because that will affect the foods temperature. My son and I got chicken sandwiches, tenders and duck fat fries. My son is in culinary school and said he liked the duck fat fries but I couldn’t taste a big difference. He got mambo sauce I got honey butter. The chicken was crispy and good, but lacked seasoning (my son agreed). I think maybe more sauce selections because both of the ones we got were sweet, and would have loved a pepper or spicy choice. Food was good, price for items were a bit high, but all in all good quality. We’d go again.

the chicken sandwich is pretty good but it just feels a bit "overpriced"

I have to be honest that the chicken sandwich wasn't as good as Chick-fil-A or Popeyes. The duck fat fries had no duck flavor either. The sandwich wasn't bad, but it didn't meet my high expectations from the other reviews.

The sandwich is very pretty. It's also pretty tasty. The setting of the tables is pretty pretty. But, the cost is pretty ridiculous. I got the original sandwich for a whopping $18.75 (after tip). The relatively small sandwich came with no fries and left me with a large, gaping valley of hunger in my stomach. If the sandwich had come with fries or was perhaps not a measly 650 calories, I'd give it 5 stars. As it stands, I won't return to this spot. Too pricey.

Went there yesterday and ordered a chicken sandwich....just a chicken sandwich. After adding a tip of a couple of dollars, the total was $18....for just a chicken sandwich. It tasted good in all honesty, but there is NO WAY it was worth the price. I will not be returning to this spot....i think I'd rather have three chic-fil-a sandwiches for basically the same price. I would give this place a lower rating but the food itself was good and cooked well. It's just ridiculously overpriced IMO.

I visited Queen Mother's Kitchen at the National Landing Waterpark for lunch today. I ordered the spicy buffalo chicken sandwich which includes buffalo sauce, cole slaw, and dill pickles, on a brioche bun. The chicken was moist and flavorful, and the brioche bun was fresh, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I also ordered the duck fat fries and requested the mother sauce. The duck fat fries are crispy and well seasoned, absolutely delicious.
