The food here is excellent. We got the Sherpa soup was very tasty, as was the vinaigrette salad. The Plov is the national dish of Uzbekistan was wonderful. The staff was amazing and they took good care of us. It is a nice quiet place in the heart of Ballston.

I had the lamb shank and the cold herring salad which were good. The soup and dumplings were a bit too salty and when we complained, they didnt do anything for the bill. The waitress staff were friendly.

Beautiful white table cloth dining space. Cozy feel and nicely decorated. Food was phenomenal. The kabobs were flavorful and juicy, the mango rich in flavor and texture, and the lamb chops were delightful. Waiters were attentive and patient, especially considering we had a toddler with us.

3.5/5 stars. We came here on a Saturday night and it was absolutely packed- definitely recommend getting a reservation. We tried several of their infused vodkas which was a fun experience. The food was just alright though, we tried the Plov, Manti, and Chebureki. The plov was not very flavorful and the lamb was a little dry. Service was slow but could be just because it was packed.

I came for the nostalgic experience, and I’ve got it for the lack of other places offering it. The menu is great, but it’s not greatly executed. The service is great, but the staff doesn’t smile that made me feel a bit intimidated.I loved a cozy atmosphere, relaxing music and cooking shows on the tv.

Excellent food!A mix of Uzbek & Russian cuisine of which I'm a huge fan. Portions are generous but not huge. Everyone loved what they ordered. This is near the Ballston metro so parking at night can be tight so plan accordingly. We made a reservation for a Sat. night - place was busy but not packed. Probably best to reserve a table just in case.Highly recommend.

The food is authentic, we tried the borsch (good flavor, but could use more meat), the pelmeni (pretty standard, generous portions) and the beef blini (which is pan-fried). The service was quick, but not overly friendly. I would come back to the plov and other dishes. Lovely dinnerware from Uzbekistan, too.

The food was decent but it none of it was great. Of the four things we ordered (fish salad, lamb with rice, beef pastries, and cherry cake), the lamb with rice was the best. I would not return.

We had a reserved table during a rainy day when the two parties arrived separately. Excellent service, very tasty food. Would visit again!
