Came into town for a three day weekend and discovered this restaurant by accident and we decided to grab some sushi as we were walking back to our rental. The staff were so warm and the food was fabulous . The sushi was just incredible so much so that we have come back for every dinner that we’ve been here and tonight‘s our last night. Last night was my birthday that actually made a big deal about that and I cannot say enough about sushi zen. Don’t miss this experience.
For the last and final time, I got a roll with poorly trimmed scraps and nigiri that was also not fully trimmed. I used to come regularly, but no more. I will not be back. The quality and attention to detail has gone downhill, unfortunately.
Our 3rd time here and second time getting the sushi and nigri platter for two (I think it’s around $75). Highly recommend a reservation and getting there earlier to find parking (the lot is shared with a Harris Teeter). It’s a solid amount of food for two (36 pieces I think) and they have a lunch menu as well.
