The original place on Columbia Pike was always packed! I'm surprised this new location isn't as packed. But amazing food, fantastic service, and very affordable price compare to the DC snobs environment with over priced and rude service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The sushi quality is amazing; they could definitely charge more if they wanted but the price is so reasonable. If I lived in the area, I would come here every day. Great rice ratio as well. Very quick service and free parking at the garage.

I love this little spot. It is always fairly quiet, no reservations required - fits large and small parties. The ambience is delightful, service is fantastic, and the food (especially sushi) is reasonably priced for an excellent taste.Can’t say enough great things about takohachi, and I’ve become a regular here!PS - paper for hangman is an added bonus

I've eaten here a few times. Ordered nigiri each time. It was really bad last week during lunch. I don't know how it was possible, but the rice was solid and GUMMY. The rating is on the based on the rice, which is a part of many dishes. While the seafood was ok, the rice really made the experience horrible.Service- waitress was kind and attentive.

For a non Japanese owned establishment, the non sushi items are nicely executed (tonkatsu, curry, ramen). Unfortunately the sushi was a miss. Fish not the freshest and sushi rice overcooked/soggy. Basically inedible. Would skip the sushi here for sure.
