One of the better locations in my opinion! This location has a cafe where you can sit down and eat food that you buy from the hot bar, or a pizza by the slice. So in addition to buying groceries, you can also sit down and eat! Not to mention that there is also a bar as well.

Good for groceries and bakery goods within the area although prices are a little steep. Household items aren't exactly their thing but you'd get fresh fruits and nuts and drinks. I think they also have Amazon lockers.

Perfect place to grab a healthy lunch during a busy day. Each of us picked out what we liked and ate outside.

This is an excellent place to be for most of your daily needs especially you opt for organic items for day to day consumption.

Although I still shop, things are a little sloppier overall, the hot bar serves the same foods over & over & the suppliers seem to have changed on some produce. Cherries and berries don't taste as good or last as long as they used to. Also, I don't know if they are leaving their candies in frozen warehouses but for several months the Nassau Candy chocolates are discolored a bit, even when far from the expiration date, as if they haven't been stored properly. Several neighbors are planning to meet w/the manager to share their complaints.

Not any better or worse than other stores in the area, but not very impressive compared to other Whole Foods. The meat selection is good - quality is pretty good. Parking is not s good.

We grabbed take out from here and while the food was very good it was terribly expensive. I can understand why some people refer to it as Whole Paycheck.

Been here many, many times at lunch and after 5pm. Always a great beer and wine selection. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, great prices and you can bring your food from the buffet downstairs. Brilliant for everyone especially those with children. Makes grocery shopping so much more pleasurable.

Going to this store for more than 10 years and always enjoyed the quality and care of employees and selection of food. No more. I always leave with 3-4 items I wanted not in stock. Amazon has ruined the management and is unable to run a grocery store. The employees seem demoralized and I wouldn't be surprised if there are too few of them to keep up. This has always been the case with other stores in DC, but the Clarendon store was reliable. Stop buying from Amazon--books and groceries!

I'm really annoyed that the store put in a self-serve bread slicer in order to force customers to slice their own. It's such a pain - why not just keep one more person employed so you can make your customers's lives easier? Also, as I've found in other Whole Foods, the eating area and bathroom tend to kept in very unclean and unpleasant, even gross, shape.

This review is for this location's Hot Bar and Prepared Foods. Gross is an understatement. I got my food from the hot bar and thought everything was fine, but then as I waited in the Express line I saw people poking at the food with their bare fingers and workers were just watching without saying anything. I was already kind of grossed out but was already in line, so I just grabbed a packaged sushi just in case - this was a good decision. The actual hot bar food was bland, somehow watery (?), and multiple items smelled rancid. This cost me $15, and I had to throw it all away. The sushi was fine. But please, do yourself a favor and go somewhere cleaner to get buffet-style food!! I don't know if they sprayed chemicals on the bar to clean it or what, but it was really disgusting slop-style food that is barely fit for animals. Not cool at all. Oh! And I have to add: they have the worst customer service. I've never seen any of their employees smile or willingly offer help, and they almost seem... I don't know... entitled or something?? It's just a grocery store, but you'd think you were at a high-end boutique, lol... don't waste your time, friends -- TJ's is cheaper, the staff is friendlier, and it's right up the street!

I would like to report on the OUTSTANDING service we received on our last trip from the AVIS representative in Viedma, Patagonia/Argentina. He went above and beyond in every way when we had a flight cancellation in Buenos Aires, and belatedly learned that the Viedma airport is closed on Thursdays. When we arrived in Viedma to return the rental car, everything was closed. Security allowed us into the building so that we could see the phone number posted at the AVIS booth; we reached the Avis representative by phone and explained our dilemma. He not only immediately drove to the Viedma airport so that we could release the rental car, he then personally offered to drive us to the bus station which was a long way over in the city, and he made sure we were in the right place for the next bus to Buenos Aires. We are forever grateful for his help!

Salad bar is always excellent, get as much or as little as you want, it is delicious. Of course you can get all of your other items there as well, but what a great spot to stop for lunch, and get a few things you need for dinner too.

I don't shop here at all but I happened to find extensive deli section and I came back to try it. The number of dishes they carry is so big and I really have to make a tour to make up my mind which to pick. Otherwise I will end up grabbing more than I can eat! You can combine different dishes and you can create different combination for close to a month without duplicating. They have dessert station next to it and I had to pick a few items from there. My total was still less than $10. I love that I can get what I want for how much I want. This will become my go-to lunch place.
