The Italian Store is always a pleasant shopping experience. Fresh bread, pizza, pasta and panini will delight your tongue. An excellent array of Italian wines from all the wine making regions of Italy at multiple price points. The Illy coffee bar is ready to serve you as well as Italian is cream for your sweet tooth. My wife and I are regular customers enjoying most of their Italian products.

I love this store, the selection of products is amazing. Today is the first time I've gotten a sub from here and oh my goodness!! The Capri was phenomenal, I will definitely be back to try the others over time!!

We walked to the pizza section to ask how long it would take to make a fresh cheese pizza. The guy said 25-27 minutes.
Since we were in a bit of a hurry, he said he can put already made individual slices and just give us a whole pizza. We said okay, great thank you.

Next, we ordered a couple of subs and walked to the call in order register to pay.

A little guy, maybe 5’5, mid-40’s was behind the register. He looked like he asked AI “ how should I dress if I want to look like a 21 year old from Brooklyn” lol.

He asked what we had, and then said, you guys got individual slices, and started charging $4 a slice rather than for a large pizza. I asked him why, considering nobody told us. He was very rude and combative. I’m shocked that they spoke to customers this way.
This employee that was leaning against the side of the counter next to him interjected and said she heard the pizza guy tell us.
This was a blatant lie, and my mom and sister in law were standing right next to me and are witnesses to this.
The little guy said it would’ve take 45-min for a fresh pizza, and I responded that the pizza guy said 25-27 min. He scoffed, and said, “ that guy doesn’t even speak English “, in such a condescending way.
I told him that we spoke to him Spanish, and of course this guy had no response, he just looked embarrassed, raised his voice and said “so are you going to buy this or not!?”

We ended up buying it, but it’s just a lack of respect and principle. Any other restaurant would’ve apologized and said they would charge the large pizza price, but they doubled down and not only didn’t offer this, but had a bad attitude towards customers. This place is OK, I think people go because it’s a neighborhood institution, and the mindset there is like, if it’s not broken don’t fix it. Nothing to write home about. I wouldn’t go back because the little man at the register was so combative, and the other employee that lied about hearing something that never happened. It’s not about the extra $15/$20, it’s about how this situation was handled.

What a great selection of wines, frozen food and non perishable items
Don't forget the pizza in the back
I definitely need to see which olive oils to try to get away from mass production brands

My family has been going here since the day it first opened, and while it is generally awesome (great food) the service has gone dramatically downhill over the last few years, especially at the coffee bar. Employees are rude and dismissive and generally act like they would rather you not bother them.

It was crazy busy when I was there, but I ordered over the phone, and I wish I had time to see the whole place and get some coffee. I will definitely try to come back and hope it's not that packed.

The Italian sub on a hard roll was amazing! I will definitely go back. I saw the meatball sub and it looked amazing and I was tol x one of the best. Friendly service.

Love their NY style pizza. Staff is always helpful and my only complaint is how busy they get on Friday nights!

There are 2 kinds of bucatini 1 are long, thin noodles made like spaghetti but with holes thru the middle, making tiny long pipes, the other is a type of pasta slightly smaller than the average elbow macaroni but just as good. You used to find this type of pasta everywhere in Northern Italy.
I found the longer kind here at this store after looking for it for roughly a solid year!
Be sure to ask for anything you are in need of.

Fantastic pizza, wine tastings, fresh cheese and bread... always fabulous. I think the best part is the neighborhood itself. It helps make the shop what it is.
