These people are doing god's working selling samosa chaat for $7 in an incredibly high COL market. Small cozy takeout spot with the cheapest prices in the area. This chaat is meal sized, and idk where else anywhere near here you could get this quality food for this price. 6 stars!
Food and service were great. If you are only going to do to-go service, please use stronger bowls. Bowl basically disintegrated on drive home as it absorbed moisture.
Quick service and to the point! Great place to stop after the metro. Delicious fresh samosa chaat!! Definitely coming back again
Very good - will order again.
We chanced upon Tikka Masala street food on our trip to DC. We chose this establishment for dinner and were a bit disappointed to find that they are a take-out restaurant only. They have a couple spots inside for standing room only eating. However, we were a family of 4 (2 young kids) and it was not practical for us to use the high ledge against the window for eating. However, they had a couple concrete kind of benches on either side of the door that we sat on and ate. It was raining the day we went but if it was not, there a couple picnic style benches where one can enjoy the food.
Our disappointment of not having seating soon turned into delight when we received our food. Everything we ordered was really delicious ! It was raining and we had some piping hot chai along with Aloo tikki chaat, vegetarian momos, Bhel puri. The kids shared an order of White rice with Paneer in Shahi sauce. We shared with the lady at the counter that the food was really good. All the flavors were spot on and this is a must visit for anyone visiting the DC/VA
area.
Note: it’s located right outside the Courthouse metro station to the right (
one of the stores in the outdoor mall area)
Love it! Tasty street food, naan pizza, & bowls. Easy order ahead by phone. Obsessed w/their Chole (spiced chickpeas), Momo (steamed dumplings), & Aloo Tikka (potato fritters)! Mango lassi is refreshing. Not always descriptions on the menu, so it's worth stopping in to ask what's what. I didn't know what a lot was, but now a big fan. The fast-casual bowls are good for a Chipotle type alternative. Very fresh! Fair prices - decent servings, <$10 for a snack, just >$10 for lunch, bit more with desserts & sides. Mostly takeout since barely any room to sit, tho there's the whole plaza when it's nice.
Not normal Indian food at all and not very good. I knew not to expect classic tikka masala but the bowls were incredibly sub par and not very filling.
Absolutely delicious and very fast. Highly recommend!
Great food for the price! Got the samosa chaat and it was delicious
Delicious indian/nepalese food. Very fresh and tasteful. Friendly personnel made the experience really special. Its a small place dedicated for delivery. But is also possible to eat locally.
Restaurantji Recommends
My business team of 5 rented some co-working space nearby and walked over to Tikka for lunch to bring back. The service was great, took a few minutes, but food was fresh and good. I just wish there were a place to sit. I unfortunately lost the receipt for reimbursement so I emailed the restaurant and they promptly emailed it to me. Overall highly recommend supporting this local business.
The food is actually very good and at fair prices! The service is good, too. I have not had anything I didn't like from here.
I ordered a mango curry pizza and pani puri. The mango curry pizza was indeed one of the finest pizzas I have ever tested in my life. As a person from a Desi background with an immense mango fondness, I cannot recommend enough to everyone to try their mango pizza.
However, the sad part is the pani puri was painfully bland. So much so that when the person was asking me how it was, I was struggling to speak the truth. Yet, I forgot everything after trying their mango pizza. Wish I could give them a solid 5 star, but I guess this review will help them to increase the flavor for the pani puri (as least they should try by themselves to understand how disdainful that taste is).
Very friendly and amazing food! I got a bowl with chana masala and veggies!
The veggie dumplings are out of this world delicious.
