We hosted our wedding reception here for 50 of our closest friends and family. The package was extensive and much more affordable than finding a venue and separate caterer. We’ve had guests come back to the area and the first place they want to go to dinner is Whino.

Love this place. It’s a big restaurant, with a Cool chill vibe that includes Artwork for display and purchase. The wine list is extensive and great. The food is even better. Love the service (at the bar) . Must go rating!

My husband and I had our wedding at Whino this past weekend and it was an amazing night thanks to the entire Whino team! We were looking to have a wedding that was more of a party for about 110 guests with a brief civil ceremony at the beginning of the night, and thought Whino would be the perfect venue since we live nearby and already knew we enjoyed the food/drinks. As soon as we began working with Shane P. to plan our event, he and his team responded quickly and made excellent suggestions of how we could lay out the venue to accommodate our live band, a food serving area and the open bar. The night of our wedding, the entire Whino staff working our event were phenomenal! We opted for platter-style food and it was delicious! We also appreciated the chef helping to cut and serve our cake. The bar tenders did a great job keeping up with drink orders and getting them out to guests promptly. It really was an amazing night and we can’t thank the Whino staff enough!

Sorry to say, but the prices at this place were really obscene even during happy hour. I ordered a $9 slider from the happy hour menu and it was approximately the size of an Oreo. The staff were nice, but I wouldn’t go back.

It turns out this place is ideal for single men and women who are just trying to have a good time and perhaps meet someone to have a chat with for a few. Drinks are decent but they need to add more variety to the menu. Recommend having respect and pleasant disposition to everyone you meet there. Best of luck all

Went for drinks to celebrate our recent engagement. Staff were very accommodating when additional people joined. Natalie was an excellent server who really took care of us.

Visited Whino as a date with my husband. We signed up for a wine class. Julie was great! Great wine choices and great conversation. She let us try a few samples outside of the tasting as well. We even bought a few bottles to take home. Will definitly go back for another tasting class and will try the food.

We went for happy hour which is only worth going to for drinks IMO since the price for certain food items only $1 less than the regular menu for small portions. Here's what we tried.

~ The brussels sprouts were really good.
~ The maple lemon pepper wings were a surprise & disappointing since there was no lemon or pepper flavour. The sauce was sweet & tasted more like maple or a light BBQ sauce with sesame seeds & scallions. We thought there was a mixup with the Korean BBQ; I suggest renaming since they are so far from being a lemon pepper flavour.
~ The secret spiced fried chicken came with a side of honey sauce, a biscuit, cheese grits & a small piece fried chicken. It was decent but the chicken was too small & most of the plate was filled with grits.
~ The creamy artichoke gnocchi was good.
~ The drinks were okay. We had sparkling prosecco & a "pool boy" cocktail with gin that didn't have a lot of flavour.

The restaurant has a great view of the surrounding area & a lot of space between the separate happy hour and dinner seating areas. There was also with a DJ while we were there. It had a large crowd by the end of happy hour that made it louder along with the music but the ambiance was nice. The server was pleasant & service was good overall, a bit slow at times but it may have just been due to how busy it became.

Parking: There is $1 parking for 3 hours in the attached garage; GPS may take you around the block to access it & it may seem further than it really is but it's actually close & a short indoor walk through the plaza. Both the restaurant & garage were a little tricky to find at first from the street area in front.

Kid-friendliness: I don't consider it to be kid/family friendly based on:

~ The happy hour & bar atmosphere that became crowded & louder later in the evening
~ The tables & seating setup (e.g.small round high top tables)
