I used William Jeffery’s Tavern for a breakfast/brunch reception following my late husband’s interment service at Arlington National Cemetery. I’m not from the area and had to do my research online. When I spoke with Kevin, the general manager, a few months prior he compassionately helped me to plan out the perfect reception. The restaurant was in close proximity and an easy drive from the cemetery. The atmosphere was perfect…warm and inviting! In fact, many guests commented to me how much my husband would have loved the tavern. The food was delicious and the staff courteous. There were many options and the price was very reasonable. It was also nice that they offered guests 3 hours of validated parking in the garage underneath the building. It was a wonderful experience for the gathering! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Tammy’s professionalism, charm, and talent behind the bar truly elevate the whole experience. If you’re lucky enough to have her mixing your drink, you’re in for a great time!

Highly recommend — cheers to Tammy!

Tammy is absolutely phenomenal! From the moment I walked in, she greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel right at home. Her drink knowledge is impressive, and she crafts cocktails with both skill and creativity. Whether you're ordering a classic or trying something new, Tammy nails it every time.

Zach was the best bartender in town. Ciao

This is my go-to neighborhood bar, and its fantastic! The weekly specials are hard to beat. Tuesday night are $1 oysters, 1/4 lb peel and eat shrimp, and mussel pots for $5 all the way until midnight. Wednesdays are half price wings. Get them grilled and dip them in the green sauce. You won't regret it!

Mondays are trivia night with half-price burgers, and on Fridays and Saturdays they've got live music that a vibe. The bartenders - shoutout to Drew, Steph and Zach are always welcoming and mix up some legit cocktails.

The food is great. I especially love the ancient buddha grain bowl. Hits the spot each time. Also want to give a special mention to the yuca fries. As a peruvian, I can confirm they got the yellow sauce just right. Crispy, flavorful and addictive.

It's also a great place to catch a game with plenty of TV's around the bar.

The kitchen stays open late, so its clutch for late-night bites. If you're ever on Columbia Pike, this is a spot worth checking out.

The atmosphere in this place is awesome. Our bartender was fast and friendly. Food was great and huge portions. We could not finish our food.

Nice beer selection. Sports available. Not a cramped bar and they have a terrace as well. Lots of windows and light.

This place is a wonderful secret treasure. We have enjoyed a daytime date here and family dinner with our young kid. The space accommodates both very well. They have a great selection of beers and super good cocktails. The food is amazing. The old style pub vibe really hit it outta the park for us. The lighting is moody so you may need to use a flashlight if you have a hard time reading in low light but we had no trouble.

Veggie options are limited and sad. The black bean burger is a pile of mush and there are few other options. There is a decent cauliflower shawarma but tonight the cauliflower was basically raw. The tomato soup isn’t vegetarian, neither was the asparagus soup several months ago. There is a grain bowl but it’s also a nondescript jumble of mush. So I usually get the quesadilla - very nondescript but reliable. I come with friends most Monday nights and have talked to managers about this multiple times. I don’t get the issue. Please up the game on the vegetarian options.

Vegetarian options: So limited - brace yourself

If you want service and good drinks sit at the bar—if you sit anywhere else in the restaurant, the waitress or waiter will never come back to your table after taking your order - this has happened to me more than once while visiting the establishment
