We went to Bilstad's over the weekend and my 6-year-old was ready to devour them ALL—and honestly, I don’t blame her. 🤤 Beignets this good should come with a warning: you will end up wearing them. 🤣
For Ashburn, these beignets aren't too bad. As for the other items on the menu...leaves a bit to be desired for and a bit pricey for what they made. Did enjoy their cold brew coffee though.
We’ve ordered from Bilstad’s for a while now. In the beginning the beignets were always excellent—a classic pillowy soft treat. Over time when we go in the afternoon they have sat too long and are tough and somewhat crispy. I imagine this is from the morning batch sitting in a warming box. I understand they wouldn’t make a fresh batch right before closing but maybe they can make them part way through the open hours so the afternoon ones remain soft? The taste is always...
