I recently dined at Potomac Taphouse, a new spot in Ashburn, and it was an exceptional experience! The customer service was top-notch, with both the staff member and my waiter making sure our table was taken care of throughout the evening. They were incredibly kind and offered excellent suggestions from the menu, which made our dinner even more delightful.I stayed nearby for training and decided to give this place a try, and I'm so glad I did! The bar had a great selection of wine, and the flounder, recommended by the waiter, was a burst of unique, lemony flavor that was absolutely delicious. The crème brûlée for dessert was also a hit, with its perfect balance of sweetness and creaminess!I can't wait to go back and try some of their pasta dishes. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this restaurant to others. It's definitely worth a visit!

Potomac Taphouse has a scratch kitchen and is allergy-friendly! Can’t go wrong with their burgers, wraps, or steaks (during dinner). Speaking of friendly, the staff here are so nice and definitely look out and care for their guests. The owner specifically—we saw him touch every table to check in and make sure everyone was happy and having a good time. Their cocktails are delicious and also customizable to your palate, and they have an extensive tap and bottle/can selection! Show them some love and check them out. They’re relatively new, as we want good places to stick around.

First time dining here since that awful asian restaurant use to be there. Thank goodness they closed. This new restaurant is great! Great food, service and atmosphere! The manager/owner came to talk with us and was very friendly and informative of where they purchase their food/vegetables from, all fresh and not previously frozen. Wine selection some from Lebanon and other countries.

I was STARVING and craving lemon pepper wings. I decided to check this place out today for a quick lunch as the manager told me their wings were out of this world when I previously visited. Let me just say, the wings were absolutely disgusting. It’s REALLY hard to mess up wings but these were extremely difficult to eat. For those that don’t know, they cook their wings 3 different ways for 1 set of wings. The first plate of lemon pepper wings I received was literally black. Black and burnt throughout. I tried getting a bite down and it tasted like straight char. How disgusting? The very nice bartender took the wings to the back to have them redone. New plate comes out: wings were extremely difficult to chew. I’ve never in my life experienced wings that are hard to chew? You could barely taste the lemon pepper as they were still black and charred, but less this time. Their blue cheese dressing tastes like it’s Walmart brand from the bottle. It’s not chunky at all, literally straight liquid, such a weird kind of blue cheese dressing to accompany wings. When I tell you these wings were TOUGH to chew, I mean I was drinking sips of water and used all of my blue cheese to help loosen it up in my mouth. The blue cheese by the way, was halfway filled in the ramekin??? For wings that are SO dry and hard to chew, why only fill the ramekin up half way? I felt too bad sending the food back again, so I did my best to finish all of the wings. I ended up leaving one in my plate because my tastebuds could not stomach another wing. These seriously need to be taken off the menu. I have no idea how anyone would enjoy the wings that were on my plate. My boyfriend and I were hopefully planing a date night here this weekend as we live so close, but I absolutely do NOT trust this place with cooking meat! After those wings, I would be tooo scared to shell out the money for a Prime Rib. To satisfy my hunger, I ended up going to Chick-fil-A and got a salad.The bartender was enjoyable to talk to and I appreciate her service! The atmosphere is great, but the food I had was horrible. Will most likely not return, unless just for drinks.

The place was not busy at all when we arrived. Our drinks were fast, reasonably priced and tasty. However, our server was inattentive and inexperienced…especially for a Saturday evening. I asked for a burger, medium and she put it in as “no pink”. When I told her it was over done she apologized and said she didn’t know why that happened. Then, when the check came, it was clear it was her error. She said she was new and didn’t know what medium meant. I asked for it to be remedied on the check and we received a $4 discount on a $16 burger that wasn’t eaten.In addition, my husband asked for a salad as a side with his steak. After waiting 15 minutes for his salad, he found the waitress and asked and was told the salad comes out with the steak. I’ve literally never seen this at a restaurant. When the food finally came, it was greasy and just ok. Our waitress was inattentive despite not having many other customers. Even after being made aware of our mediocre service, nobody came to discuss our concerns or make it right.
