Never been to Potomac Taphouse before yesterday, it was a impulse pick for a bite and saw they have smoked old fashioneds. My buddy and I walked in and immediately felt confused. The layout and vibe were all over the place. Still cannot really explain what they are going for, felt like a quick service layout and big wall of beer of taps. Stopped in unexpectedly to waste about an hour of time with my dog. Easily grabbed a patio table and found myself in the middle of happy hour: $6 drafts, $10 apps, plus more. Great selection of everything. But most importantly the service was impeccable. There were two other large tables being served along with myself and Emile could not have been more attentive to every table. Food and drinks came out very fast and his recommendations were spot on accurate. He even offered water...

The food was outstanding—fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. You can really see the attention to quality and detail in every dish.Service was equally excellent: friendly, attentive, and professional without being intrusive.Overall, it offers a fantastic dining experience from beginning to end. Definitely highly recommended.
