Commenting first on the food - excellent. Whipped feta is ahhh-mazing. The pizza is so fresh and yummy too.
Also I loved the music they played, a little Van Morrison, followed by Dusty Springfield and Paul Simon’s Graceland.

We love this place and it gets better every-time, we got the cod and risotto. The cod was plentiful and cooked perfectly - delicious. The risotto could have used more seasoning and honestly i would have used vegetable broth for the stock instead of seafood. I assume that is what gave it a fishy taste. Apps were good!
We arrived in Ashland in the evening the day before our visit to Kings Dominion, and decided to check out downtown and were drawn to this little place. The food here was fabulous, we got pizzas and our son and daughter loved the gluten free pizza! When inclement weather rolled through in the evening of our KD visit, we decided to come here again for dinner the next night and got the same thing. It was that good!

Ash & Olive is a must-visit restaurant in Ashland, located next to Cross Bros. where a coffee shop used to be. The food is simple but delicious, sourcing as much as possible locally. The room is spacious with plenty of room for privacy and is wheelchair accessible. The seating arrangements offer a little something for any occasion, including couches with a coffee table setup.
The menu features items like the seasonal Peach Panzanella Salad with burrata, an arugula salad with salmon, and warm olives. For entrees, guests can enjoy the Fab Four pizza, a farro grain bowl, a meatball marinara provolone sandwich, and a smoked fish appetizer described as out of this world. All entrees are perfectly cooked and delicious. The restaurant also has an excellent wine selection and a speakeasy with recommended cocktails.
The service is gracious, quick, and efficient. The staff is fun and energetic. Orders are placed at the counter, a concept many find super efficient as it allows guests to leave without waiting for a check. The ambiance is cool, comfortable, and quaint, perfect for a great evening. The owner is noted for a high level of care. Good news: they are opening a gelato/espresso shop soon.
