The food was uninspired blah. Burger was tasteless, fries were soggy. Taco salad was a pile of unseasoned ground beef on top of a pile of chopped vegetables. The ideas were there but the heart wasnt in it. Wish it was prepared better, because I like the staff and atmosphere from what i saw.

A staple of a local bar in downtown Basye!! A direly needed/requested establishment became a fast local favorite in the Bryce/Basye community. Run by a couple young local ladies, they are seriously killing it!
Offering a cozy and casual environment with a variety of food options, this is a place to be for live music (outside when weather permits) or other fun activities like musical bingo. BB also offers 2 pools, 2 dart boards, giant jenga, and more.
Other than beer, wine, and cocktails, from behind the bar, you’re get the sassy, fun, crazy, lively personalities from the girls that own and run the bar.

Dude what an atmosphere! Desirée (Desireé? I don't speak french leave me alone) makes such a homey, comfortable, lovely atmosphere with good drinks and a real local-bar vibe that you just can't fake.
Down to earth vibes, pool tables, dart boards, solid drink drink options, good people. This is what a mountain local bar strives to be and every visitor to Bayse or Bryce really ought to experience it. Such a fan. Will be back.

Stopped by the Burn Barrel while on vacation in Basye. We chose the BB for its availability of Gluten free buns. Food was great, service was fast, and overall great experience!!!

Very nice staff working there and chill vibe. Food was pretty terrible from my experience though. We placed an order for pickup and when we opened the food, the onion rings looked overcooked and everything else was not made with much flavor. We ordered nachos which had absolutely no seasoning on the meat. We also ordered the chili dogs and they were like sopping wet from all the cheese they put. Just wish there was more care in the food. Definitely would have requested a refund if I saw how the food looked before I took it home. Hoping that food that comes out the kitchen improves. Will love to come back one day.

Good place to eat in Basye Virginia. I started off with tomato basil soup. It was good and the best thing is it was hot. We both had the special of the day which was pineapple chicken stir fry. Very tasty and plenty to eat. My wife got dessert and she said it was very good. Service was great. Prices were very reasonable. One soup, two specials, one dessert $40.
Was happily surprised by this resturant for breakfast. The menu is basic but the food tasted homemade and was fresh. My omelet was huge! Service was quick and nice. They had little ornaments for the kids to color for the Christmas tree.

Overcooked food, wrong orders, and DIRTY cups. There was black stuff caked on the bottom of our cups, which we found after drinking our orange juice. Disgusting… and it was overpriced. One of the kids meal options literally read “Kraft Mac and cheese” for $10. The home fries were literally frozen fries that had been cut in half. All of the add ons for the omelette were as they had come out of the can. Mushrooms were clearly out of a can. Same with the jalapeños. Sausage and bacon were whole strips and links in the omelette. Plenty of room to improve. Unfortunately, we would never come back.

French toast was good eggs where ok bacon overcooked burnt home fries were end piece of fries. Breakfast sandwich Sammy sausage had my wife vomit in the bathroom she left half wich and didnt not finish first half overcooked tots really. Kitchen is not well trained to cook obviously burnt bacon seriously and served to guest by server ??? Why would you provide this foods to your guest that pays. Please owner manager retrain cooks and expo and servers serve food that is presentable ready to consume by paying guests. Thanks !! Please check photos posted below.

I ordered my food to-go and had a really great experience. The staff was super friendly and made the pickup process easy, and my order came out way faster than I expected. I got a burger and cheese fries, and both were amazing—the burger was juicy and full of flavor, and the cheese fries were the perfect comfort food. Even though it was a quick to-go order, everything tasted fresh and well-made. I’ll definitely be coming back because the service and food were both top-tier.
