“? This review is to confirm that as of January 2024, RHouse is still by reservation only. I can not edit the hours to reflect that, and I want others to be aware! My partner and I stopped in to see what RHouse had in the ways of cocktails and appetizers for a little late night snack. As we walked up, we noticed that it said reservations only on the chalkboard sign outside. Dang!We went in anyway just to see if maybe that was just an old overlooked sign, if maybe they were still able to seat us, or if we could go ahead and make reservations for the following day.The owner was warm and friendly, explained that they were indeed reservations only, and had us write down our name and information in the appointment book so he could let us know if they were going to be open the next day (they were in for a snowstorm in the area). We wrote down our information and said goodbye. We weren't in there long, but from my brief time inside, I can say that it looked nice, very cozy, and well decorated. As for outside, the porch was cute with decorations and lights. The parking lot is gravel, and there are some stairs to get up to the door, I'm not sure if there's another way into the building that's wheelchair friendly, so just keep that in mind.Unfortunately, the snow and ice prevented us from being able to actually enjoy RHouse. The owner was kind enough to send a text letting us know that they were not going to be open due to the snowstorm. If we ever are in the area again, we'll definitely be making reservations to stop in.”
“We had phenomenal pizza here, and a very pretty drive on the way! The staff were very friendly and there was a big group playing darts, but service was still great.”
“The Red Sangria was unbelievable. I bought a bottle and I'm half way through it. The Baggett and oil worked really well to clean the pallet between tastings. The chocolate plate was just great.”
“Of ALL the places in Wardensville & Lost River, The LR General Store is the best store for variety. They offer great lunches, fresh & delicious, plus amazing treasures upstairs in their Lost River Vintage section, and so many unique items in the lower part of the store to buy for yourself or as fantastic gifts! Not to mention the delicious ice cream & baked goods! We can never leave without something sweet! I noticed in my travels through Hardy County, there are many other fine stores. Maybe too many that are trying to copy each other, but this little store has my vote for being a terrific one-stop shop, eat, & relax on the beautiful grounds of the Inn & Store. We like to sit on the screened-in porch or at a picnic table. Perfectly located to satisfy all, including our four-legged family members. Thank you, owners, Ted & Toni & staff at for always making us feel welcome and happy!”
“Been to a few wineries in the area...and BY FAR, you guys knocked it outta the park! What a great wine tasting with superb wines! And your young lady manager really made us feel so comfortable! Side note: brought out 16 yr old Chihuahua boy inside for a few minutes and took him to the wolf...he snuggled right in to his ancient ancestors! 5 stars doesn't even touch...what a great wine stop! You should feel very proud of yourselves! Thank you!”
“Great place to stop and grab a beer. The pizza is also really good. Awesome outdoor areas for kids to play and disc golf. I knew it was going to be our go to beer place when the kids started to ask to go there!”
“Great coffee, I tried the pour over and it had a great taste. This is a fantastic spot to hangout and absolutely worth a visit. The place has comfortable seating and even some kids puzzles/books. Here's a pic of the menu, you're welcome.”
“We came to this place on our way to North Carolina just to get a quick bite to eat, and we ordered the butter chicken, chanay, and veg pulao, and they were delicious. The best part was the naan, which was fresh, and brought straight from the tandoor. It was soft, warm, and crispy. If you are traveling through western Virginia, you should definitely stop to get some good food here.”
“It's a small lodge with friendly staff, generously portioned, nicely cooked food and 3 pool tables and the usual assortment of gaming machines. Most days they open at 10 and close at 8; weekend hrs are longer. Tends to be on the quiet side on weekdays and patrons are friendly toward strangers/members of other lodges. It's not my home lodge, but I frequent it.”

“I would highly recommend to try Chinese cuisine here. The restaurant is neat and clean. Additionally the staff is really helpful and sweet. If you are in the area and want to try out something new then it’s really worth a try.”
“OMG, I just have to rave about Burger King! ?? Seriously, their burgers are out of this world delicious! Juicy patties, fresh veggies, and that special sauce... it's like heaven in a bun! And let's not forget about their crispy fries, always perfectly seasoned. Plus, the service is super friendly and quick, which is a huge bonus when you're craving a tasty meal on the go. Trust me, Burger King never disappoints! ??”
“Wow! Just read the few reviews and I guess I got lucky or they were unlucky. I'm from the WestCoast so we have Carls Jr..I was disappointed they didn't have waffle fries or the western bacon cheeseburger This was for a drive thru order..quick fast and friendly! Did hve to pull up for fresh fries Bun was amazing I feel like the burger can use some salt also with the fries. I would visit again”
“During our visit to our son at JMU, traveling with our three adorable Cockapoos, we relied on the Bring Fido app to find a pet-friendly spot. The recommendation led us to an incredible place that was perfect for our family of 7, both human and furry members alike. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, the beer selection was perfect, and the food was incredible. The delightful setting was an added bonus to our memorable experience.”
