“We came to this place on our way to North Carolina just to get a quick bite to eat, and we ordered the butter chicken, chanay, and veg pulao, and they were delicious. The best part was the naan, which was fresh, and brought straight from the tandoor. It was soft, warm, and crispy. If you are traveling through western Virginia, you should definitely stop to get some good food here.”

“It's a small lodge with friendly staff, generously portioned, nicely cooked food and 3 pool tables and the usual assortment of gaming machines. Most days they open at 10 and close at 8; weekend hrs are longer. Tends to be on the quiet side on weekdays and patrons are friendly toward strangers/members of other lodges. It's not my home lodge, but I frequent it.”

“OMG, I just have to rave about Burger King! ?? Seriously, their burgers are out of this world delicious! Juicy patties, fresh veggies, and that special sauce... it's like heaven in a bun! And let's not forget about their crispy fries, always perfectly seasoned. Plus, the service is super friendly and quick, which is a huge bonus when you're craving a tasty meal on the go. I'm from the WestCoast so we have Carls Jr..I was disappointed they didn't have waffle fries or the western bacon cheeseburger This was for a drive thru order..quick fast and friendly! Did hve to pull up for fresh fries Bun was amazing I feel like the burger can use some salt also with the fries. I would visit again”

“Went here on a Saturday lunch. The place was busy, and all tables were practically taken. After we ordered, we cleaned off our own tables from people leftover dishes and had a seat. The staff was nice and the sandwiches were great! Taco soup was lacking.Plenty of potential here, but during busy times, there needs to be a better system to keep the tables clean, napkins stocked, trash bins empty, and even a free water dispenser for people to self serve.”

“We stopped here on our way to see some friends for the weekend and I was pleasantly surprised on all fronts! Good food including their burgers with sweet potato fries and their fish tacos. They had a great variety of beer and cider. The building itself is beautiful and they have a ton of outdoor seating on a nice spring day. And I found their staff all to be friendly and accommodating.”

“The pulled pork sandwiches here are fantastic! Huge portions, and very tasty. A great value for your money. The business is located in a funky old garage kind of building, but it's in these one of a kind type of places where you find the best BBQ. My only disappointment was in the sauces. They were only fair. I would have to say the sauces I've had at places like Mission BBQ were better. But still, don't let that stop you from coming here and getting some great food.”

“A unique experience! Here's how it works: enter in a very accessible entrance, place your order with one of the friendly employees at the front counter. You're given a pager that will notify you when your order is ready. Then, go back to the counter and pick up. It's a wonderful garden center to browse while you're waiting. The tables are in a greenhouse area. The sun made it comfortable for a cold February day. And the food? Fabulous and tasty with vegan and vegetarian options. “HANDS DOWN MY FAVORITE BAKERY! I recommend this place to all my friends & family, even those who don’t live close because this place is definitely worth the drive! The staff is amazing and the selection of pastries, &bread are not only delicious but always stunning. Everything I’ve had from this place is AMAZING but I highly recommend their Seasonal Éclairs (especially the passion fruit) & their focaccia bread. “Was driving through Virginia and saw a sign on I-81 for this little gem. We stopped on a Saturday afternoon around 4pm. It wasn’t busy. Apparently they are only taking reservations now since January 1st, 2024, but because it wasn’t busy they took us as a walk in. I’m so glad they did! Joann was our waitress. She was SO nice and such a sweetheart! I got a side of gnocchi marinara and my guest had a CYO pasta of penne marinara. There was a side salad option and we got the strawberry vinaigrette dressing, which was delicious! The bread was very fresh and warm and came with a tasty olive oil garlic dipping sauce for it. The gnocchi pasta was homemade and had an amazing flavor and texture! Very smooth! The marinara sauce was also homemade and delicious! It was a sweeter taste and didn’t taste very salty at all. Highly recommend to stop here if you get the chance!”

“The food was great! They have awesome marinara sauce. The only one problem was I ordered a pepperoni and olive pizza roll and when I got it there wasn't any pepperoni on it. They did give me another one with the pepperoni to-go at no charge. Well worth the stop! I would go back if I wasn't just passing through.”

“It’s a bad habit, but I eat a scoop of ice cream most nights after dinner. When traveling, I eat ice cream every chance I can get. The result is I’ve had a lot of ice cream and been to a lot of ice cream shops.Today, I visited Sugar Creek for the first time. I got the peanut butter overload shake. It was the best shake that I’ve ever had. Period. And, given all the ice cream I eat (and probably shouldn’t!), that’s saying something!”

“Been to a few wineries in the area...and BY FAR, you guys knocked it outta the park! What a great wine tasting with superb wines! And your young lady manager really made us feel so comfortable! Side note: brought out 16 yr old Chihuahua boy inside for a few minutes and took him to the wolf...he snuggled right in to his ancient ancestors! 5 stars doesn't even touch...what a great wine stop! “Friendly staff, clean restaurant and they had a musician. Food was good. I had onion rings and they were over done. Everyone else enjoyed their food. Our drinks were full despite it being a little busy. We were told they had new cooks, so maybe that’s the mishap with onion rings. If that’s the worst. It’s ok.
