My family and I have ate there or ordered to go frequently here lately. The food has been great, fairly priced (including various specials), and the customer service has been top notch.

Moon Dog Brick Oven Pizza in Big Stone Gap, Va, serves exquisite food, with the Philly Cheesesteak being a standout. The restaurant offers fresh, made-to-order cuisine, albeit at a higher price point. Despite being mostly self-serve, the food is fantastic, and the customer service is top-notch, with great specials and community support. The building is a beautiful, freshly remodeled, historic downtown building decorated with local sports memorabilia. They have boosters & high chairs, and the women's restroom has a baby changing table. They have good pizza and pasta, but their sandwichs and cheese sticks are a go-to. The pizza was fantastic and brought out still bubbling from the oven. Great selection of beers on tap. This restaurant has mastered self service and should be an example to how restaurants can thrive in the absence of wait staff. They have a broad selection of beer taps, all brewed by/for Moon Dog.
