Avellinos Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria

My husband and I went there with our one year old daughter today. Our waiter was an absolute sweetheart (I forget her name 😭😭) she brought my daughter out dough from the back to play with! It was such a sweet gesture. I’ve been a regular there for years. I love the food and the staff. Highly recommend the Soriano Italian Sub, calzones, pesto pastas, and the Greek salad! Yum!

Loved the Chicken Bravo with Angel Hair!

I recently moved to Delray and have tried a few places and have disappointed. I happened to be in the shopping center where Avellinos is earlier in the day. I noticed it so that night we decided to try it we did a pick up order. It was done so quick was a family atmosphere everybody was saying hello to everyone else! I love that! the food was amazing. This will definitely be our new go to we ordered a veggie pizza and garlic rolls. Both were outstanding and as a bonus prices are very reasonable.!!

This was our family's second time to this restaurant. First time was fantastic from service to food! Recently, we went on a rainy Friday evening and were surprised it was not as busy as we expected. We were seated quickly by the hostess who was very friendly. Our food ordered was all delicious. We had pizza and pasta, but had to ask for bread. Our server was MIA for the majority of the night. We noticed the bus boys and one other server were all working hard, but our server and another ( younger blond) kept disappearing for long periods of time. Other tables were looking around too and a couple of people stood up to get our servers attention ( younger girl with long brown side braids). We had to ask for bread..was never brought to our table initially and never got refills until end of dinner. When we left we noticed a bunch of younger staff hanging out on their phones in the waiting area. We were really disappointed as our first time here was insanely busy with wonderful service. I definitely noticed a huge difference within a few months.

Our server (Jennifer) was amazing! The food was just ok. Pricey for the quality. Portion size was generous. But the manager was awful! They actually seemed to be punishing our server for providing good service, making sure we were taken care of instead of waiting for attention from other inattentive staff. We were so thankful that Jennifer stepped in when she realized no one else was doing their jobs. But instead of being praised for customer service, the manager actually made it clear to her and to us that that was unacceptable behavior. What a terrible perspective for running your business!

Food was amazing! My husband got baked ziti and not only was it the largest portion I've ever seen but the tastiest. So much we took it to our grandson who had it for three nights! I had soup and a small pizza - again delighted by the flavors! If we only lived closer! The salad was large enough to be sharable, too. And the prices were very reasonable. Everything great about this restaurant.

Slow service. We had 2 dishes come out cold. The waitress disappeared on us, the other two tables next to us had an attentive waitress so I assume it's a problem with one employee. Overall the feeling we got was the waitress was annoyed at us being there.

If you like Italian food, then Avellinos is the place to go. They have some of the best lasagna around, and I also highly recommend the philly subs.

I’ve been several times and have yet to have a bad meal. Everything from daily specials to calzones, Avellino’s has always delivered. Prepare for a little slow bar service on busy nights, but absolutely no reason not to go. Somebody in this restaurant really cares, and it shows in the food.

Authentic Italian food that tastes good. Great service. And very good for groups.

The food is good. The staff is always clean and friendly. However you can tell how dated the restaurant is. It was once a very nice date spot. But now it's dusty, dishes are chipped and the decor is very dated.

We heard great things about this spot from a friend, and he was absolutely right. This is some of the best Italian food in the region. Our waiter Emmitt was kind, attentive, and made great recommendations. We will definitely be back, and often!

Good food and excellent service. We had a large group of 14. Sophie was our server and worked very hard to make sure our dining experience was pleasant. Big thumbs up for her and the rest of the staff.
