Not for the shop, but they were setup at the farmers market so picked up a half dozen bagels and a loaf of spelt bread.TLDR: bagels were awesome, the bread was a big disappointment. All of the bagels were good, though the ginger and date was such a mild flavor it was overwhelmed by cream cheese. The parm+peppercorn was awesome, and the jalapeno cheddar had a great jalapeno flavor. Really can't say enough good things about these -- great texture and chew though maybe a little heavy on the cornmeal on the bottom for some. Didn't try the multigrain which can be tricky. The bread was just a real let-down, crumbling in your hands. Spelt is an older grain whose gluten can be tricky to work with, but this was so dry and crumbly when you'd try to pull out a slice from the bag it'd split in half. About 1/3 of the loaf seemed to just split off the top like the a seam hadn't taken when they rolled/shaped it for baking.Vegetarian options: Guys it's bagels

Such a friendly group of people to buy from, and the bagels are super tasty too!

Holy smokes this place is no joke. Delicious bagels made fresh this morning and the pretzels are to die for! The everything seasoning is on point and the rosemary tomato bagel was decadent. They also sell cream cheese and local jams and honey. Incredible! Will be back for more bagels!

The food here is pretty good, I recommend it for a local place when walking through the door. If you're trying to get information for hosting an event or returned communication they're a bit slow. After ordering for such an occasion, I kept trying to get confirmation and had a few questions, etc. The cinnamon rolls, bagels, etc. were tasty, but due to the lack of communication we're doing business elsewhere next year.

I went inside the shop and was very disappointed, my bagel was so tough to chew. Pretzel was good but will not be returning. Maybe the bagels at the farmers market are better I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.
Great gluten free options!!So many great options to choose from- our family get the pizza dough every week, along with the cinnamon rolls. My son really enjoys the pretzels as well.

While I enjoy all of the products at Blacksburg Bagels, I have to give a special shout-out to the Golden Loaf - aka the turmeric ginger sourdough bread. This stuff is so delicious - and often the only thing I can tolerate for breakfast (the ginger settles my stomach and the turmeric helps fight inflammation). Witnessing Pete and his team develop this amazing local business has been an inspiration and a joy. Go buy ALL of the baked goods!

We stopped by yesterday for the first time. We tried several different items (a croissant with chocolate, a double chocolate croissant, cookies, and a pretzel). All of the items were delicious, but that pretzel was something else. Seriously, go try one if you haven't yet. Friendly staff and owner too. We can't wait to go back.
