I practically live here. The coffee is always spot on, the baked goods are light and delicious, and the baristas are always very friendly. If you live in or even visit Blacksburg, this is the first place to visit to get a good feel of the town.
They have great options for gluten free baked goods, but be careful with drinks! The oat milk they use is not gluten free so if you have anything more than a sensitivity I would stick to drip coffee. I found this a bit disappointing since I have heard so much about Bollo’s as a celiac safe spot on Saturdays and Tuesdays.
This place is simply a BB institution. Great coffee, great baked goods and a unique college-town vibe. It’s worth mentioning that in contrast to other ‘bakeries’ in the neighborhood, Bollo’s is an actual bakery. I particularly love their scones, croissants and their oat-fudge bars.
