One of the best Thai food spots in Blacksburg, hits the craving for home cooked food. I always get the pad si ew and ask for extra cilantro and they never skimp out! Also rlly good thai tea! The owners are SO lovely and really great people.

Number one place in town for Asian comfort food and truly is a staple in Blacksburg. We get food here just about every week, usually take out but sometimes for dine in. I don't think I've had a bad thing on the menu and they're very accommodating to allergies if you communicate them.

Me and my boyfriend eat here all the time. We’re always trying a different dish and we’ve always loved every one we’ve ordered. Definitely one of my most beloved restaurants in town!!

Really enjoyed my time here! Staff was friendly and the owner made sure I felt welcome. Food was exceptional (Pad Siew, Pho, and the Pork Belly). Overall great experience and I’ll definitely come here all the time!

We ordered tofu meals and were happy and surprised that MeKong called and asked if the fish sauce and egg were still ok for us. It was really nice that they personally called to confirm our dietary restrictions before making the food!

Very busy but we were seated upon arrival. The service was great. The food was amazing. Come with appetite as servings were plentiful. We at our table all had takeaway. Food was tasty, served hot, no warmed over food here. Very popular place, we luckily were seated fast, others after us had a short wait. We had later lunch.

Cafe Mekong never disappoints. Every time I go, the food is fresh, flavorful, and comforting — especially the pho. You can tell they care about quality and consistency. It’s one of those places you confidently bring friends to because you know it’s going to hit every time. After having almost everything on the menu I can genuinely say that this place is the best Asian food spot in Blacksburg area.

Nice to see that when we stopped at 1:30pm on a Sunday for lunch, virtually every table was occupied. Also nice to see that most of the table occupants appeared to be Asian. We ordered two apps and two entrees. Surprisingly, the first entree was brought to the table solo, five minutes later the second entree, and after another five minutes came the apps. Not the standard sequence. Our Summer Rolls were fresh as can be. The Papaya Salad was also fresh, but did not seem to have much flavor. The portion of Eggplant and Basil Stir Fry, and the portion of the Squash and Basil Stir Fry, were huge; we brought some home. Those two huge portions were also quite tasty (after we added some fish sauce and sriracha.

Our son is studying at the university, and he had his heart set on Pho for his birthday weekend dinner. We’re so glad we stumbled upon this restaurant! His bowl of Pho was absolutely delicious, and the other dishes we ordered were equally tasty. The owner we spoke to earlier in the week was incredibly friendly and assisted with our reservation. We were greeted and seated promptly, which was a great start to our evening. I would highly recommend this spot; the staff was exceptionally nice and welcoming.
