I came here fairly regularly for about 4 years and their food was always excellent. When I graduated school, I brought my Palestinian grandpa and the guy who was serving us gladly spoke arabic with him and even gave us a free appetizer and coffee to my grandfather. Their restaurant includes food from their culture in the form of a shop that you can buy as well and according to my grandpa "they have everything here". Thank you for the excellent service through the years

Like a lot of old time Blacksburg, there isn't a lot of service and your date won't believe you're eating here but it is a gem. The flavors are the richest, most interesting spices you'll find in the New River Valley and almost all the food is stellar -- if sometimes dry before tahini and balsamic vinaigrette. The kebab platter is my favorite but there is also a kebab sandwich and many other choices. I don't love the Egyptian potatoes but otherwise you're safe being adventurous. You will need to order and pay at the counter and you likely will have the restaurant to yourself if you're not there at a predictable time. The baklava is the house dessert (although they sell a ton of international pre-packaged desserts) and you can dine outside under cover most of the year. It is near Our Daily Bread and behind Cookout. It does a small fraction of one percent of Cookout but it is a better meal and quicker that the line that snakes all across the parking lot after dark.
Seriously?! I found a used BAND-AID inside the patty when I cut them in the half. Somebody in the kitchen must forget to wear a hygiene gloves. definitely a NO-GO. I am filing a complaint to the authority now!!!

Authentic Egyptian food and middle eastern grocer. Would have liked my sandwich on Syrian bread instead of the Greek bread. Chicken shawarma and kafta perfectly spiced and fresh. Fries were great. Falafel tasty. Great prices. Filling and fresh food. Market has essentials. Nice find for this area. A little taste of home!

Seak Shawarma Platter and side salad. The beef was low quality, expected higher quality for the price. The onion in the salad was delicious. The pistachio baklava looked delicious but I did not have room to try it. It was freezing in the restaurant area. The thermostat was set on 56. My boyfriend had the Chicken Shawarma Platter. I would order that if I go back.
