Nice ambiance, substandard food mostly, unremarkable coffee.

I used to love this place, but today the blonde woman tried to kick me out because I hadn't ordered anything (at the moment). I had brought in my outside drink to take my medicine so I didn't mind her telling me that it wasn't allowed, I understood. But singling me out that THIRD time (in like 15 mins) to ask me to leave just because I hadn't ordered (yet... I was waiting for my pills to settle in my tummy because they make me a little nauseous sometimes) is a little crazy of her as there were several people around me with nothing on their tables except their homework and who were there before I got there.

They're getting worse every year. I remember when this place offered free refills and even a time when they didn’t accept credit cards. Unfortunately, especially after 2018, both the quality of the place and the attitude of the staff began to decline. The coffee has become worse—it's so acidic!—and some of the employees are incredibly rude, particularly majority of those who worked there between 2019 and 2021. It feels like you have to apologize just for ordering food, and they seem to expect tips even for refilling your coffee. Not to mention, they no longer offer refills for large coffees.

Ordered an iced mocha. Couldn't taste the coffee. Extremely sweet. I paid 8.00 for basically a chocolate milk.

This is my favorite place in Blacksburg/Christiansburg to drink coffee. I visit here frequently for both meetings and to sit and work. I've always found the staff to be friendly/accommodating and the atmosphere is great!

I recently visited this coffee shop and witnessed an unsettling incident involving the owner and a customer. The customer politely raised a concern about an incorrect charge, but instead of addressing the issue calmly, the owner responded with rudeness and a bad attitude. Despite the customer's respectful approach, the owner refused to apologize and dismissed the issue, claiming he was too busy. It was disappointing to see such poor customer service from the owner, especially when the customer handled the situation with maturity. I would not recommend this place based on this experience.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends. The staff is always friendly and attentive, adding to the cozy vibe of the place.
The highlight for me was the Gingerbread Iced Latte—it’s absolutely divine! The perfect blend of spices and sweetness, it’s a must-try for anyone visiting. They also have fresher roasted and ground coffee which is perfect to take home.

The coffee was fine, however, I had to drink it very quickly as it was not nearly hot enough. I was saddened that there were no vegan food options. Also, the atmosphere was a bit strange. It seemed like a little mini museum to coffee roasting. There were crates and sacks in what ought to have been a nice indoor sitting area with tables. The service was poor. We were having a hard time finding lids, sugar, trash can, etc. and the employees were too busy talking to each other to direct us where to find these things. We were the only customers at this time.
Vegetarian options: I am a vegan and inquired about vegan options. They had a veggie patty that they checked the ingredients on. It is vegetarian, but not vegan.

Mill Mountain has been my go-to coffee place since I started drinking coffee as a teen. My dad would take me here as a toddler and let me play with the coffee stirrers. I love the coffee, love the vibes.

Friendly and efficient service. Prices are similar to other similar establishments in the area. Interesting coffee selections not found elsewhere.
