About 4 years ago I used to frequent Next Door Bake Shop. Good memories there. Sadly, no more good memories to make there. Curt service, extremely high prices (even compared to Northern VA), and the matcha latte I had was not good even after a remake. I way overpaid for what was trashy sweetened matcha, should've pursued a refund but didn't.

Love NDB! The coffee cake muffins are incredible, and the coffee isn't bitter. I appreciate the "homey" feel and the friendliness of its staff. Been coming here for years and am grateful for them. In a town full of coffee shops/cafes, NDB sometimes gets overlooked, but it's a gem.

Do not reccomend ordering a cake from here. I placed a birthday cake order online several days before I needed to pick up. Get to this place at 8am for pick up on the day of the persons birthday I'm getting the cake for. They didn't make the cake! I was left with an im sorry and they couldn't give me a time when the bakers could come in and make one. They did issue a refund but did inconvenience me greatly because I had to last minute find another cake. I will not be returning to this business.
