The Maroon Door Reviews
Best spicy fried chicken sandwich I’ve probably ever had! Great atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious menu!
The food was AWESOME!!! We will be back….
Tried this place for the first time tonight. We got two orders of their wings and they came out raw. The waitress tried to explain that it was a protien thing and it was okay. WTF......I'VE been eating qchicken for 50 years and raw is raw. Never going back. Food on a scale of 1-10 was less than one. Dont waste your time going ato this over rated restaurant. Now if you want a refreshing naturally flavored cocktail the drink menu is commendable.

The Maroon Door is an upscale restaurant that offers a creative and unique menu, featuring dishes like smoked rabbit egg rolls, lamb burger, duck burger, and the spectacular Pumpkin Aloo Gobi. The food receives high praise for its inventive riffs on classics, including a must-try duck confit roll. The establishment resides in a fully remodeled historical building, providing a clean and characterful atmosphere with both inside and outside seating, where dogs are welcome. The drink selection is impressive, with delicious stout, brown ale, and craft beers that complement the menu well. Cocktails, such as the maple old fashioned and spicy cucumber margarita, are excellent. The servers and bartenders provide top-notch service, enhancing the experience. On Tuesdays, every beer purchase contributes a dollar to a charity of choice, which adds a nice touch. Parking can be tricky, but there are nearby parking lots and street options. The Maroon Door is considered a go-to spot in Blacksburg, especially on gamedays, and offers a relaxed vibe with a special wing policy on Wing Wednesday.
