I've tried to communicate with the manager of this restaurant, due to many comments saying that they had a bad service. Now I can clearly tell you some of the bad comments have misunderstanding or even with malice.
Someone said they were yelling at just because taking one more chopsticks, but actually they took at least five to eight per person.
Someone said they were yelling at as soon as they walked into the restaurant, and were treated rudely. But actually the manager just didn't know how to communicate as a native, and she is love to give supports.
If you have a reasonable request and express it, she’ll be happy to help — but taking eight sets of utensils clearly isn’t one of them.

Come here religiously for the fatty beef dry pot over udon. Clean place, good food and the staff of 2 is very nice and seemingly hardworking!

Warning: Avoid Tokyo Grill Due to Aggressive Service
We recently had a disturbing experience at Tokyo grill that left us shaken. A group of 8 friends went there for dinner, and when one of us politely grabbed an extra spoon for our tablemates, the server reacted aggressively. Despite our calm demeanor, the server shouted and intimidated us, creating a hostile environment. The situation escalated quickly, making us feel uncomfortable, scared, and even concerned for our safety. We eventually decided to leave the premises to avoid further confrontation.
If you're planning to dine at Tokyo grill Blacksburg , be aware of the potential for aggressive service. We hope the management takes steps to address this issue and ensure a safer experience for customers.

Their behavior is so awful and racist. They passed comments towards us when we asked extra fork and spoon. Never going to this restaurant again and will ask all my friends not to go there. I feel bad for the owner of the restaurant.

Food was super yummy and it was all made super quickly often times I'm looking for an affordable place to grab lunch between classes and this will definitely be my new go to spot. Unfortunately I have no pictures of the food cause it was so good I ate it immediately. The service was good I think a lot of negative reviews are because of peoples cultural differences however it was clear from my time there the owners care about their customers and experience and them having a good time. If you treat people kindly they will treat you nicely back!! Finally it was a good place to get some studying done, but there was also friends just enjoying a good meal and a nice chat. Over all highly recommend visiting them and don't let the other reviews deter you!!

Portions are great with good prices, especially the build your own bowl. Not the absolute best Japanese food ever but for the price it’s totally worth it. Comes out decently quick and it’s easy to order on the kiosks.
