“Nice restaurant in a small town open Sunday night. Ordered the eggplant Parmesan and it was good. The food was surface of the sun hot. I was disappointed they served everything in plastic and styrofoam and not on a plate even though I was dining in.”

“Very cute and clean local spot! Jerk chicken was juicy and FALL OFF THE BONE with the perfect amount of heat! The sausage was my favorite-crispy but juicy and super flavorful! The pulled pork was good- but really to our surprise took a back seat to the others. The sides and apps were phenomenal-we had the spiral potatoes, cabbage and collards and all were flavorful and perfectly cooked! Tara, one of the owners was super sweet and personable and made sure when enjoyed our experience! (Also the home made cakes looked amazing but we were stuffed!!). We will be back!!”

“First time at Mitchell’s. The hush puppies were so great I got seconds (and thirds)! Also, tried the tasty Greek gyro which was a nice surprise to find in a small town. Friendly, helpful owners. Next time I’m in town I’ll go back!”

“The floor under our table was nasty and when we sat down I sunk to the bottom of the seat because theres no support when I sat in the booth and, although the server was very nice, she spent more time on her phone and eating at the countertop than she did checking on us and the food was very blah. No flavor to the chicken on my grilled chicken sub. The prices were INSANE! $50 for a club with sweet potato fries, a grilled chicken sub with fries, and a side salad. I also asked my 2yr granddaughter what kind of fries she wanted us to split with our grilled chicken sub and we decided on sweet potato fries. An entire order of sweet potato fries was sat down in front of my granddaughter and I had regular fries with my sub, which we're never discussed, and I got charged $7 for a plate of fries I didn't even order!”

“Been coming here for years. Food is always fresh, made to order. The owner, a woman runs the store by herself. Be patient with her. My favorite thing to order is the fried oyster box. Crispy, fresh.”

“I love how soft their bread is, unlike some subways. Sometimes service is a hit or miss (especially when there's this certain guy there that acts like he hates to fix any sub). I mean it's SUBWAY!!?”

“Love this place. Everytime we are driving through we stop without hesitation. The smell when you walk in the door is amazing. My favorite part is the fresh waffle cones they make infront of you. The ice cream is an amazing bonus. Can’t wait to go back! They are about an hour and half away from us but worth the drive.”

“My husband and I came in town for the weekend for a family gathering and a graduation from CAP military function. This was very last minute and we googled a bakery called Taa Daa bakery. Not only did she meet all our needs with our cupcakes that we have to order last minute day before she was very accommodating in being available for changes of those cupcakes and also with us picking them up during a time when she was closed. We were very comfortable talking with her. She’s a very sweet lady that once you talk to her, you feel like she’s someone you can reach out to it anytime my husband and I love places that take the time out to really get to know you and make you feel like you’re not a bother. Blackstone Virginia is where she is located. if you’re going through or visiting, make sure you stop by and try her outstanding flavors that she has of cupcakes and other stuff that she has till we see you again Jan friends always Kimberly and Michael.”

“I got some muffins so I can have a ready made breakfast for Shabbat tomorrow so I will update when I eat them. I also got some cinnamon bun cheese cake and it was so delicious I’m googling words to define it! Palatable, satisfying, gratifying, well pleasing, delectable, well accomplished and so much more! It had such a perfect balance! It was not the type of overly sweet where you get sick it was just the right everything to want another bite over and over! (I am not big on sweets at all). The cheese cake was done perfectly wasn’t too mushy or too hard the right textures and consistency making it such a well balanced delicious desert! Well worth it! I was going to take a picture but I couldn’t stop eating it!”
