“Love this place. Everytime we are driving through we stop without hesitation. The smell when you walk in the door is amazing. My favorite part is the fresh waffle cones they make infront of you. The ice cream is an amazing bonus. Can’t wait to go back! They are about an hour and half away from us but worth the drive.”

“My husband and I came in town for the weekend for a family gathering and a graduation from CAP military function. This was very last minute and we googled a bakery called Taa Daa bakery. Not only did she meet all our needs with our cupcakes that we have to order last minute day before she was very accommodating in being available for changes of those cupcakes and also with us picking them up during a time when she was closed. We were very comfortable talking with her. She’s a very sweet lady that once you talk to her, you feel like she’s someone you can reach out to it anytime my husband and I love places that take the time out to really get to know you and make you feel like you’re not a bother. Blackstone Virginia is where she is located. if you’re going through or visiting, make sure you stop by and try her outstanding flavors that she has of cupcakes and other stuff that she has till we see you again Jan friends always Kimberly and Michael.”

“Very cute and clean local spot! Jerk chicken was juicy and FALL OFF THE BONE with the perfect amount of heat! The sausage was my favorite-crispy but juicy and super flavorful! The pulled pork was good- but really to our surprise took a back seat to the others. The sides and apps were phenomenal-we had the spiral potatoes, cabbage and collards and all were flavorful and perfectly cooked! Tara, one of the owners was super sweet and personable and made sure when enjoyed our experience! (Also the home made cakes looked amazing but we were stuffed!!). We will be back!!”

“Never having been to Blackstone, I didn't know where to eat. I googled (like real travelers do) and chose the Brew House because of the extensive burger menu. Let me tell you...best burgers we've ever eaten. And we have eaten a LOT of burgers. I had the deviled egg burger which is a generous sized patty with the deviled egg "innards" smeared all over the top along with pork belly, havarti cheese and some kind of chutney and a little green onion. I feared it would be more egg salad like but was pleasantly surprised when it was all that yummy yolk/mustard/mayo/relish deliciousness. My husband went out of his comfort zone and chose the apple bottom burger. Y'all. Believe me when I say, hands down, best burger EVER. It has fried apples, bacon and bacon-habenero jam all atop that burger patty. Please try this burger. You will not be disappointed. Both of us paired or burgers with fries tossed in garlic parmesan sauce. Lord have mercy. Just do it. Just order them. The world needs more happiness that only fries like that can bring.

The atmosphere is welcoming with plenty to look at and the service is top notch. If you ever make the Journey to Blackstone, be sure to stop in at The Brew House. Tell them I sent you.”

“First time at Mitchell’s. The hush puppies were so great I got seconds (and thirds)! Also, tried the tasty Greek gyro which was a nice surprise to find in a small town. Friendly, helpful owners. Next time I’m in town I’ll go back!”

“The floor under our table was nasty and when we sat down I sunk to the bottom of the seat because theres no support when I sat in the booth and, although the server was very nice, she spent more time on her phone and eating at the countertop than she did checking on us and the food was very blah. No flavor to the chicken on my grilled chicken sub. The prices were INSANE! $50 for a club with sweet potato fries, a grilled chicken sub with fries, and a side salad. I also asked my 2yr granddaughter what kind of fries she wanted us to split with our grilled chicken sub and we decided on sweet potato fries. An entire order of sweet potato fries was sat down in front of my granddaughter and I had regular fries with my sub, which we're never discussed, and I got charged $7 for a plate of fries I didn't even order!”

“Was in town with no car so walked a mile to it in a storm. Ordered fish box which came with fries, 3 hush puppies and 4 pieces of whiting. Also got an order of steamed jumbo shrimp (9!) . With tip it was less than $20. And the food was great. The place is basic, chairs but no tables so I pulled a chair over to make a table. It was a feast and I have two fillets left for breakfast!”

“This McDonald's location is located in a great spot with friendly customer service and really fast in and out times. The bathrooms are clean. The food I have received has been HOT and the drinks cold. Wifi has a good flow rate. I recommend this location.”

“Had to wait just a few minutes but I could see how the crew was working. I'm glad I waited. Me and my fiancè were coming here for lunch after a long drive and the place was clean and the food looked exactly how it does in the pictures. On my receipt, it says the cashier's name was Schreal. I didn't ask if it was the gentleman's name because he was assisting others as I was walking out. But he was wonderful!! Very sweet and excellent for customer service for the wait we had and how many people were in the restaurant and also in the drive thru. My fiancè even said he was happy. I really liked the atmosphere we had received.”

Additionally I can't comment much on service or atmosphere as they just took the order that's about all the interaction I had it wasn't unpleasant or pleasant it was just a normal interaction and atmosphere kinda not something you can judge for a fast food place so I remained neutral.”

“I have lived in Blackstone, which is 10 minutes from Crewe, for over 30 years and never knew about the delicious breakfast offered at this little hidden gem. My husband and I each had the Benchmark’s Big Boss platter and it was delicious. Also, the girls that served us were so kind and friendly. We will definitely be back!”

“Arby's Prince George VA. We go here sometimes after my boyfriend gets off work at 2am. It's open 24 hours. One time there was one guy working by himself. I mean he was taking orders, cooking, and running the drive thru. He was absolutely awesome, and cool handling everything like it was not a big deal. I wish I could remember his name. All of the employees have been very polite and kind to us when we go there.
