Stopped in for lunch around 2:00pm. Missed the rush. The seating area was clean and in good repair showing that they do care about the impression they want to leave for the customer.I had the patty melt with a mac n' cheese side while my Bride had the nachos. Both were good, served promptly and still hot. The mushrooms were large and not the premade type some restaurants get from their suppliers. We took a little Antique road trip to Blackstone this weekend, and stopped in at Mitchell's for lunch.It's a cute homey little place with a fairly decent variety. I had the Nachos, and hubby had the patty melt with a side of Mac and cheese. We ordered an appetizer of fried mushrooms, and we both had a diet soda.The mushrooms were good, nice large breaded shrooms, they served it with a horseradish sauce which I don't care for, so they happily supplied us with a cup of ranch. We had a class reunion for a 1960 class. The room was great for our small group. we only had 27 in our class and 1/2 have passed and only had 7 show up. We had hoped to have 19 but only 7 showed up. Mitchell's had no problem with the small group even thought the room for many more.The food was good and the service was above average. For an individual, couple, family or group I highly recommend Mitchell's.
