The perfect combination of authentic ingredients and menu items. I was very surprised to find this gem in Virginia.”

“Jalisciense Danville VA Authentic Mexcian Restaurant & Taqueria 691 West St Danville Va. Me and my sister went to eat there today and what we had was amazing Grilled Chicken Hawaiian is what was so delicious and we decided to split the food glad we did it was plenty for both of us. The restaurant clean and people working there was so nice and friendly. I will be going back for sure. It makes a difference when people care what they service. We discovered this fantastic place several years ago and have been absolutely awed by the outstanding food and the service. Perhaps the most noteworthy aspect of Crema and Vine is that it is a family run business, which we always try to support, and have for years. The owners, Steve and Angela truly care about their customers and we feel like family when we are there. May they continue to operate Crema and Vine for many years as the outstanding place it is.”

“I stopped by at 5:45pm, 15 minutes before they closed. I met the Owner, she was the nicest Lady. Very welcoming, asked me where I was from. First time we met but she made me feel welcomed. “We ate here Christmas Day for my sister’s 21st birthday. The service was impeccable, they sat our party of 11 immediately, they even helped me pick out a special drink for her (a large bowl with a live flame filled with a delicious pineapple drink and fruit). Not only was the service amazing, but the food was delicious! We got sushi, low mein, hibachi and seafood. Everything was delicious. This is by far the best sushi/asian food in Danville! “Bubba's is a Danville institution and is commonly referenced when someone is looking for ice cream. It is conveniently located for a treat or easy meal when going for a drive in the country.

The new location (Rte. 41) is exponentially more inviting than the previous location on North Main Street both from a parking space, safety, & perimeter lighting standpoint.

I am not going to rave about the best ice cream in the world or best food but everything is adequate and matches the pricing reasonably well. My preference is hand-dipped ice cream and soft-serve is all that is offered here. Not a problem as I have cravings for different cold treats at different times. I am a sucker for a swirl waffle cone (strawberry/vanilla pictured). Hot dogs are standard "red dogs" that are popular in the region. Not everyone's cup of tea but I enjoy them immensely. The BBQ sandwich is a tasty item. Though basic, it is what you'd expect from an ice cream stand.

I have had different levels of service from their mostly teenager staff and that is to be expected. It has always been better than average and I have never experienced an outright rude employee on my many visits to Bubba's, contrary to other reviews.

BRING CASH!! The word that comes to mind is bootleg when I see an operation not take credit/debit cards and offer an ATM around back. It definitely seems like a stepping over dollars to pick up pennies mentality to not offer the most prevalent form of payment and I can only imagine how many cars don't stop or pull in and right back out due to this, but it's not my business and it doesn't stop me from enjoying this lovely spot.

Parking: The primary parking lot will fill up somewhat quickly but the neighbors parking lot is fair game so don't let that discourage you.”

“2/1/24 My first visit: I took my family to Captain Cook's to celebrate my father's birthday. It was a party of 13. The place was very clean and spacious! The hosts acknowledged us as soon as we walked in, and our table was available immediately! When we got to our table, I felt the air from the ceiling fan, and before I could say anything, the host already knew and turned off the fan! She was paying attention! Wow! 😊 Our waitress was very pleasant and personable, listened carefully to our requests, and was quickly accommodating. It was like she was reading our minds. And the food???? FRESH, HOT, and DELICIOUS! To end the evening, the price was great for the quality and quantity of food we received! We were comfortable and didn't feel rushed! Thanks to the entire Captain Cook's Staff for a great dining experience to celebrate my father's birthday. I will visit again when I'm in town! 5/5 💥”
